- No person shall put, throw, or place, or allow to be put,
thrown, or placed, in any of the said waters any sawdust or
sawmill refuse, or anything of any kind or description what-
ever poisonous, deleterious, or noxious to fish: Provided
that nothing herein contained shall extend to prohibit the
depositing in such streams of débris from any mining claim. - No person shall buy, sell, or expose or offer for sale, or
take, or attempt to take, fish for, catch, or kill, any Sal-
monidæ or trout in order to make sale of the same. - No person shall have in his possession any Salmonidæ
or trout between the first day of May and the thirtieth day
of September in each year, which period is appointed a close
season for all such fish. - No person shall take or catch more than twenty trout
in one day. - The penalty for the breach of any of these regulations
shall not be less than forty shillings or more than fifty
pounds. - For the purposes of these regulations the mouth of
every river or stream shall be deemed to include every out-
let of the same and the sea-shore between such outlets, and
shall extend over a radius of five hundred yards from the
point or line where the waters of such river or stream meet
those of the sea or of any harbour at low water. - If any person shall be convicted of an offence against
these regulations the license (if any) held by the offender
shall thereupon become void.

Appointment of Trustees, Bruce Drill-shed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thir-
teenth day of January, 1908.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act,
1888,” and “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees
Validation Act, 1890,” and of all other powers enabling him
in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby extend and apply the provisions of each of the
above-mentioned Acts to the land specified in the Schedule
hereto; and also doth hereby appoint Captain John Bell
McClymont, Lieutenant James Armstrong Stewart, and
Acting-Lieutenant Gilbert Simpson, all of the Bruce Rifle
Volunteers, to be Trustees of all the said land and of the
drill-shed thereon, to hold the same under the said Acts
for Volunteer purposes, to wit, as a drill-shed site and
drill-shed for the use of the Bruce Rifle Volunteers so
long as that company exists, and thereafter for such Volun-
teer purposes in the district as the Minister of Defence
directs; and also doth hereby declare that the said Trustees
are incorporated by the name of “The Bruce Volunteer
Drill-shed Trustees,” and they shall take office on the date
of this Order in Council.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
being part of Section No. 25, Block II, on a plan of subdivi-
sion by James Elder Brown of the Elderlee portion of the
private Township of Milton, and being part of Rural Section
No. 131, Block XVI, Tokomairiro District (which plan of
subdivision is signed by the said James Elder Brown, and de-
posited in the Registrar of Deeds’ Office for the said Provincial
District of Otago), and which parcel of land commencing at
a point on the south-eastern boundary of said Section No. 25,
25 links from the southern corner thereof, and thence con-
tinuing north-easterly and bounded on the south-east by
the Main South Road, 50 links; on the north-east by other
part of said Section No. 25, 150 links; on the north-west by
other part of said Section No. 25, 50 links; and on the
south-west by other part of said Section No. 25, 150 links,
to the commencing-point; and being also the land referred
to in deed of conveyance, registered number 47537, dated
6th June, 1879, from Messrs. Adam Landels of the first part,
and James Goodall of the second part, and Messrs. Alfred
Jones, Edward Pettit, and John Dewe, of the third part, to
Messrs. James Scott, Donald Reid, and Alexander Adam, of
the fourth part, in trust for the Bruce Volunteer Rifles.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth
day of January, 1908.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section
three hundred and forty-six of “The Municipal Cor-
porations Act, 1900,” His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby make the following regulation:—
The Council of the Borough of Onehunga is hereby autho-
rised to make regulations for the purposes mentioned in
section three hundred and forty-six of “The Municipal
Corporations Act, 1900,” subject, however, to the following
conditions, that is to say:—
(1.) The regulations shall not apply, and shall expressly
state that they do not apply,—
(a.) To any dairy duly registered under “The
Dairy Industry Act, 1898”; or
(b.) To vehicles, utensils, machinery, apparatus,
or appliances used in or about any such dairy
by the owner of the dairy, except in so far as the
same are also used in or about any premises to
which the regulations lawfully apply; or
(c.) To the owner of such dairy or any person
employed by him in or about the dairy, except
in so far as he or such person is the owner of
any premises to which the regulations lawfully
apply or is employed in or about the same.
(2.) A copy of every regulation made by the Council
under the powers hereby conferred shall be for-
warded to the Minister of Internal Affairs
within seven days after the making of the same,
and the Minister of Internal Affairs may at any
time within six months of the making of such
regulation disallow the same.

PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the fourth day
of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifth day of
July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, regulations
were made and fees and rates fixed under the authority of
“The Electric Lines Act, 1864” (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), inter alia, for the transmission of telegrams by
telephone; for the use of all Government telephones at a
telephone bureau in New Zealand; and for the construction,
supply, and maintenance of private telephone-lines by the
Post and Telegraph Department: And whereas it is ex-
pedient to amend the aforesaid regulations and rates and
fees in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby re-
vocate those portions of the said regulations, fees, and rates
hereinbefore mentioned, and in lieu thereof doth make the
regulations and fix the fees and rates set forth in the
Schedule hereto: And doth hereby order that such regu-
lations and such fees and rates shall have effect on and from
the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the
New Zealand Gazette.
