Land taken for a Further Portion of the Midland Railway between Otarama and Jackson—namely, Arthur’s Pass Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Midland Railway between Otarama and Jackson—namely, Arthur’s Pass Section :
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the said further portion of the said railway.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies ; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

ERRATA.—In the Manawatu Land Drainage Commission, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 56, of the 16th July, 1908, page 1919, for “Charles Rankin Vickerman, Esq., District Engineer, Public Works Department, Wellington,” read “Charles Rankin Vickerman, Esq., Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department, Wellington.”
In the Schedule to an Order in Council consenting to lands being taken for a road through Native land, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 52, of the 2nd instant, page 1775, for “Piopiotea S.D.” read “Piopiotea West S.D.”
