July 16.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 1915
special roll shall be deposited for public inspection at
the office of the local authority for not less than seven
days, and notice thereof shall be published in some news-
paper circulating in the district: And whereas such public
notice was not so published, inasmuch as it was only pub-
licly notified for two days, instead of seven days, but the
special roll was actually lying at the Board’s office for some
weeks: And whereas it has since been published in the
Auckland Star, dated the fifteenth day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and eight, that the special roll was open for
public inspection at the Board’s office from the sixteenth
to the twenty-fourth days of June, one thousand nine
hundred and eight, both days inclusive: And whereas no
objections have been lodged to the said special roll, and it
is apparent that the ratepayers of the Pukekohe East Road
District have not been misled, and it is expedient to vali-
date such irregularity:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section ten of “The Local Bodies’ Loans
Amendment Act, 1902,” doth hereby declare that such
public notice that the said special roll was open for inspec-
tion shall be deemed and taken to be as valid to all intents
and purposes as though the same were regular and in form,
and that the proceedings taken to obtain the said loan of
three thousand pounds shall not be called in question by
reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.
