EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Volume 114, folio 185, for Section 3, Block II, Wakefield District, whereof MARY ANN ROBERTSON, of Rocky Point, Otago, Widow, is the registered proprietress, and application having been made to me to issue a provisional certificate of title for the said land, I hereby give notice of my intention to issue such provisional certificate at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the publication hereof.

NOTICE UNDER "THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1905."

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1905," that the Wallace County Council propose to take part of Section 227A, Taringatura Survey District, along its eastern boundary for a public road—namely, that piece of land, containing 1 acre 0 roods 2 poles, more or less, commencing at a point being the north-west corner of Section 227, Taringatura District, and extending southward along the western boundary of said section, a distance of 1006·7 links, to a public road; thence westerly along said road, 100 3 links; thence northward, 1014·7 links; thence eastward, 100 links, to the commencing-point.

Also that piece of land, containing 1 acre 2 roods 22 poles, more or less, commencing at the south-west corner of said Section 227, Taringatura Survey District, and extending in a westerly direction along the boundary of Section 148, Taringatura Survey District, 100 links; thence in a northerly direction, a distance of 1635 3 links, to a public road; thence in an easterly direction along public road, a distance of 100·3 links; thence in a southerly direction along the boundary of said Section 227, a distance of 1643·3 links, to the commencing-point: and that the said Council has caused a plan to be prepared showing the land required to be taken, together with the names of the owner and occupier thereof as far as can be ascertained, and that the said plan is deposited at the office of the said Council, Main Street, Otatau, and open for inspection at all reasonable hours; and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of such work or the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wallace County Council, at their office, Main Street, Otatau.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council, on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Tauranga, intends to construct a public work—viz., a new road at the Tahawai Deviation—and to take for that purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto. The works to be undertaken are formation, metalling, and drains for surface water. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the work or the taking of the land, and to send such writing to the Tauranga County Council within forty days from the 17th day June, 1908, being the day of the first publication of this notice. A plan of the lands to be taken, together with a list of the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained, is on view at the store of Nobie A. Johnston, Katikati, and is open to inspection during ordinary business hours.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

In the matter of "The Public Works Act, 1905."

WHEREAS the inhabitants of the Heathcote Road District, incorporated by virtue of "The Road Boards Act, 1882," acting by their Board, the Heathcote Road Board, intend to acquire, by virtue of the powers conferred upon local authorities by "The Public Works Act, 1905," all that parcel of land situate in Block XV of the Christchurch Survey District, containing 2 roods or thereabouts, being parts of Rural Sections Nos. 241 and 813, situate at the junction of Hill Road and Rossmore Road, in the Heathcote Road District, for the purpose of building, erecting, and forming a septic tank thereon and other works connected therewith for sewage purposes : Notice is hereby given calling upon all persons affected to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from this 9th day of July, 1908, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the Heathcote Road Board, at its office, Ferry Road, being within the road district where such lands are.

And notice is hereby also given that a plan showing the land to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land, is deposited and open for inspection at the Heathcote Road Board Office aforesaid by all persons at all reasonable hours.
