taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the defaulters' list and the rolls for
    ridings within the County of Wanganui: Until the 4th day
    of July, 1908.

  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for
    inspection: From the 9th day of July, 1908, to the 27th day
    of July, 1908.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 12th
    day of August, 1908.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with
    reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 1st day
    of September, 1908.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected
    and signed, shall come into force: On the 12th day of
    September, 1908.

Appointment of Trustees, Port Chalmers Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority
conferred by “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands
Act, 1888,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees
Validation Act, 1890,” and the Defence Act Amendment Act,
1907 (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency
the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby
constitute and appoint

Captain NICHOLAS DODDS, No. 2 Company, Otago Division of Garrison Artillery Volunteers;
Lieutenant JAMES HENDERSON CRAWFORD, No. 2 Company, Otago Division of Artillery Volunteers; and
Acting-Lieutenant ALEXANDER McINTYRE, No. 2 Company, Otago Division of Artillery Volunteers,

to be Trustees of all that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, being part of Sections Nos. 54 and 55, in the Town of Port Chalmers, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, commencing at a point on the north-western boundary-line of the said Section No. 55 distant 50 links from the most western corner of the said section: bounded towards the north-west by parts of Sections Nos. 67 and 68 for a distance of 100 links; towards the north-east by part of said Section No. 54, 250 links; towards the south-east by George Street, 100 links; and towards the south-west by part of said Section No. 55, 250 links, to the commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Port Chalmers Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Act, 1907 (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint

Major JOHN CHICKEN, V.D., Retired List;
Captain FREDERICK GEORGE SMITH, Active List (Unattached);
Captain JULIUS SANDTMANN, Adjutant, 4th Regiment, Wellington (East Coast) Mounted Rifle Volunteers;
CHARLES DUGALD KENNEDY, Esq., Napier;
ROBERT DONALD DOUGLAS McLEAN, Esq., Napier; and
JAMES HENRY COLEMAN, Esq., Napier,

to be Trustees of all that parcel of land in the Borough of Napier, in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, being part of Suburban Section No. 96, and containing 26 perches, more or less, commencing at the south-west corner of the telegraph reserve: bounded on the south by Coote Road, 114 links; thence to the west by other portion of Suburban Section No. 96, 145·5 links; thence on the north, 114 links; thence on the east by the telegraph reserve, 145·5 links, to the commencing-point: and of all that parcel of land in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 5·7 perches, more or less, being portion of Suburban Section No. 96, Town of Napier: bounded towards the north-east and south-east by portion of the said Section No. 96 reserved for telegraph purposes, 24·2 and 155·5 links respectively; towards the south-west by Coote Road, 27·6 links; and towards the north-west by portion of the said Section No. 96 reserved for a drill-shed, 145·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 54894, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Napier Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Land temporarily reserved for Police Purposes in the Town of Kawhia, Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for police purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 6A, Block IV, of the Town of Kawhia. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 6, towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 3, 2, and 1, towards the south-west by Tainui Street, and towards the north-west by Section No. 9, all of Block IV aforesaid; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 58629/1B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and eight.
