Declaring Road-lines through Land in the Kanakanaia Settlement to be closed.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described
in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that they intersect land acquired under "The Land for
Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900," and are not suitable for the subdivision of such land :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
in exercise of section sixty-nine of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described, and I do hereby declare that they shall thereupon
become subject to the said Act.

mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured as above noted.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred
and eight.

Land temporarily reserved for a Public Recreation-ground in the Auckland Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of "The Land Act, 1892," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Auckland Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-ground.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 23 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or
less, being Section No. 58, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east
by Section No. 57, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District,
2245.1 and 1500 links respectively; towards the south-west
by a public road, 2245.1 links; and towards the north-west
by a public road, 1500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
S.G. 58469/4, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and eight.

Game and Native Game not to be sold in Rotorua Acclimatisation District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by a Warrant made under the Animals
Protection Act, 1907, dated the thirteenth day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published
in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight, provision was made for the
issue of licenses to sell imported and native game in the
Rotorua Acclimatisation District :
And whereas it appears that neither imported game or
native game is sufficiently numerous in the said district to
warrant the sale thereof :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers vested in me by the said Animals Protection Act,
1907, do hereby revoke the above-mentioned Warrant in so
far as it relates to the sale of imported game and native
game; and I do hereby prohibit the sale of imported game
and native game in the said Rotorua Acclimatisation District during the present year.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventh day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and eight.

Rotorua Acclimatisation District extended.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by a Warrant made under "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," dated the twelfth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of
the said month of September, the Rotorua Acclimatisation
District was constituted, with the boundaries therein defined: And whereas it is expedient to extend the said district by including therein the whole of the County of
Whakatane :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
Animals Protection Act, 1907, do hereby abolish the Rotorua
Acclimatisation District as heretofore constituted, and in
lieu thereof do hereby appoint those parts of the said
Dominion described in the Schedule hereto to be a district
under and for the purposes of the said Act; and I do
further declare that such district shall be known as the
"Rotorua Acclimatisation District."
