a town district under “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” by
the name of the “Te Awamutu Town District”; and in further
pursuance and exercise of the said power I do hereby pro
claim and declare that the Board elected and appointed
for the said district shall consist of five members.
SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded to
wards the north by an imaginary line along the south
junction of roads at the Harp of Erin Inn to the south
western corner of Allotment No. 12, of Section No. 13,
Suburbs of Auckland; thence by that allotment, Allot
ment No. 11, Section No. 13 aforesaid, Allotment No. 36A,
Parish of Waipa, and thence across the Waipa River to
Section No. 28A, Parish of Waitemata, to College Road;
thence towards the east and south-east by College Road,
Road and a line across the Pamuroa and Howick Road to
the south-eastern corner of Section No. 49, Parish of
Waitemata; thence by Section Nos. 49, 50, 51, Parish of
Waitemata, and the road on the southern corner of Section
No. 51 to Mangara Road; thence by Mangara Road to the
south-west by the Great South Road to the place of com
mencement.

Change of Name of Locality, "Western Spit" to “Westshore.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS provision has been presented by settlers
in the locality known as “Western Spit,” in the
County of Hawke’s Bay, praying that the name of the
said locality may be changed to “Westshore”; and the
Council of the County of Hawke’s Bay, by resolution
dated the 23rd day of March, 1908, has approved of the
name of “Westshore” being substituted for the existing
name of “Western Spit”:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee Baron Plunket, Governor,
and authorities conferred on me by “The Designation of
Districts Act, 1908,” and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Lee Baron Plunket,
as aforesaid, do by this my Proclamation, in public
proclaim and declare that the name of the locality now
known as “Western Spit,” in the County of Hawke’s Bay,
shall be, and the same is hereby changed to “Westshore”;
and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality
in lieu and stead of the former designation; and I order
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight:
Provided, nevertheless, that within six months after the first publication
hereof in the Gazette.

The Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act Amendment Act,
1907, assented to by His Majesty in Council.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Act passed in the session of Parlia
ment holden in the seventh year of His Majesty’s reign,
the reign of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria, entitled “An
Act to make provision for the establishment of a Colony in
New Zealand,” it is, among other things, enacted that no
Bill which shall be reserved for the signification of His
Majesty’s pleasure thereon shall have any force or authority
within the Colony of New Zealand until the Governor of
New Zealand shall signify, by Speech or Message to the
Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the
said Colony, or by Proclamation, that such Bill has been
laid before the Sovereign in Council, and that the Sovereign
has been pleased to assent to the same:
And whereas on the twenty-fourth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and seven,
a certain Bill, intituled “An Act to amend the Law with re
clamation subntitling the title of the Dominion of New
Zealand” by way of an “Act to make provision for the
designation of the said colony.”
And whereas a certain Bill passed by the Legislative
Assembly of New Zealand on the twenty-fourth day of September,
one thousand nine hundred and seven, intituled “An Act to amend the Divorce and Matrimonial
Causes Act, 1904,” and cited as the Divorce and Matrimonial
and Matrimonial Causes Act Amendment Act, 1907, was
reserved by the Governor of New Zealand for the signifi
cation of His Majesty’s pleasure and approbation of
His Majesty’s pleasure thereon:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee Baron Plunket, the Go
vernor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of
the provisions of the said recited Act and Act of the twenty
fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seven, intituled “An
Act to amend the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1904,
and cited as the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act Amendment
Act, 1907, aforesaid, has been laid
before His Majesty in Council, and His Majesty has been
pleased to assent to the same.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c.,
County of Waitotara.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this second
day of May, 1908.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
Presiding in Council.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to
exceptional circumstances, the preparation of the
rolls for the County of Waitotara, and the taking of certain
steps connected therewith, cannot conveniently be made and
taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act,
1908,” and it is expedient to extend the time within which:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred upon him by “The Counties Act Amend
ment Act, 1908,” and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby extend the time for the preparation of the rolls
in the aforesaid county, and for the taking of certain dates
for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
- FOR preparing the defaulters' list and the rolls for ridings
within the County of Waitotara : Until the 16th day of
May, 1908.
