Native Land in Waipakura Survey District taken for the
Purposes of Public Buildings.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this first
day of April, 1908.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is Native land and is required to be taken for the
purposes of public buildings:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native
owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map of the said land has been prepared
in duplicate, as required by the eighty-ninth section of
"The Public Works Act, 1905":
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the
powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1905,"
and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby pro-
claim and declare that the land shown upon such map and
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for public
buildings as aforesaid; and the said land shall vest in His
Majesty the King, as from the twenty-fourth day of May,
one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Amending Regulations for Trout-fishing, Whangarei Acclima-
tisation District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
fifth day of April, 1908.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-
seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred
and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 75.
of the thirtieth day of the same month, certain regulations
were made under "The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884"
(hereinafter termed "the said Act"), providing for trout-
fishing within the Whangarei Acclimatisation District:
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time during
which trout may be caught in the said district:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers con-
ferrcd by the said Act, and of all other powers enabling him
in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby order and declare that, notwithstanding anything
contained in the said recited regulations, any holder of a
license issued thereunder may fish within the Whangarei
Acclimatisation District until the fifteenth day of May in
any year, instead of to the fifteenth day of April as provided
by clause four of the regulations made by the said Order in
Council of the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand
nine hundred and six, subject in all other respects to the
conditions prescribed by the said regulations.
