Declaring Elections under “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” void, and providing for Fresh Elections.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section ninety-nine of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” and of the regulations made thereunder and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the elections of members of Boards by the contributory local authorities in the grouped districts set out in the Schedule hereto, under regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seven, are void, and fresh elections shall take place at the time and place of meeting and under the presiding officer set forth in the Schedule hereto.

Date for Election of Members of certain Fire Boards under Fire Brigades Act, 1907, by Insurance Companies.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1907, I, Joseph George Ward, acting for the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Monday, the 10th day of February, 1908, for the holding of an election of three members of the undermentioned Fire Boards by the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand:—

THOMAS HARTLY, of Cambridge,
to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of seven members of the Board of Trustees of the Hautapu Drainage District, as constituted under “The Land Drainage Act, 1904”; also to appoint Monday, the 24th day of February, 1908, to be the date, and the office of the said Thomas Hartly, in Victoria Street, Cambridge, to be the place, for holding such first election; and also to appoint Friday, the 28th day of February, 1908, at half past 2 o’clock in the afternoon, to be the day and the hour, and the said office in Victoria Street, Cambridge, to be the place, at which the first meeting of Trustees shall be held.
