Native Land taken for the Purposes of a Wharf-site in Rangiuru No. 1a Block, Block III, Maketu Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of December, 1907.
Present :
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public work, to wit, for the purpose of a wharf-site in the Rangiuru No. 1a Block, Block III, Maketu Survey District :
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown :
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the eighty-ninth section of “The Public Works Act, 1905” :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-ninth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon the map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said wharf-site ; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the twentieth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

In the Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Regulations under “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” for the Election of Members of Boards by Contributory Local Authorities in Grouped Districts.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by section six of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act 1885 Amendment Act, 1886,” it is provided that the Governor, by Order in Council, shall, before the month of November next ensuing, and at the same period in every third year thereafter, apportion the representation of the various contributory local authorities in any district on the Board of such district in the manner therein set forth :
And whereas in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seven, regulations were published governing the election of members of the Boards of such districts by such contributory local authorities as are grouped together in terms of the above-mentioned section :
And whereas it is necessary that regulations should be made governing informalities in connection with such elections :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by section ninety-nine of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” and in all other powers enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby make and prescribe the following additional regulation :—
REGULATION.
In any case where the Governor is of opinion that by reason of irregularities at or in connection with any election of members of a Board by the contributing local authorities the result of the election has been materially affected, he may declare the election to be void, and in such case a fresh election shall be held at such time and place and under such presiding officer as the Governor appoints.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
