Opening Settlement Land in Nelson Land District for Selection.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1892,” “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and their amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the thirteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eight, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and “The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

About 20 acres flat, remainder gradual slopes; 60 acres very good formation, remainder somewhat poorer on western side of stream. The land is nearly all forest—birch, pine, and rimu; a good proportion of timber is fit for milling. Well watered. Fencing valued at £15 is included in the capital value of the section.
The Wangapeka Settlement is situated on the east side of Wangapeka River. The nearest point of the settlement is about a mile and a half from the Sherry Post-office and two miles and a half from the Tadmor Railway-station, forty-two miles from Nelson.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and thirty-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the tenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
