IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section 2 of “The Town Mains Streets Act,
1908,” I, Robert McNab, Minister of Lands, do hereby
authorize the laying-off of Victoria Road, Park Avenue,
and Salisbury Avenue, in the Township of Rakataura
Extension No. 1, in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, of not
less than 66 ft. each, instead of 50 ft. as prescribed by
section 17 of “The Land Act, 1892.”

“Lycidas.” For the Examinations of January, 1909, and 1910, it
will be required: 1910—Thackeray, “Esmond”; Shake

addition to knowledge of the period of literature, 1744–
1832, for the Essays).
French: 1909—Moliere, “L’Avare”; 1910—Corneille,
