CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorised to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council for improving the following streets—viz., High Street, Belvedere Street, Park Road, Holloway (late Library) Street, Tyne Street, Dixon Street, Kent Street, Rutland Road, Brooklyn Road, and Lincoln Road—the said Carterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/32d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Carterton, comprising Sections 1 to 33, 42 to 45, 54 to 57, 66 to 69, 78 to 81, 90 to 93, and 102 to 106, Township of Carterton; Sections 142, 143, 205 to 214, part Sections 141, 173, 175, 176, 177, 179, 181, 182, 184, and 241, Taratahi Plain Block: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Pukekohe Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901."

PUKEKOHE DRAINAGE BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the Pukekohe Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the Pukekohe Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for drainage purposes, the said Pukekohe Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1 1/2d. in the pound on the rateable value of all the first-class land in the drainage district, comprising Lots 236, 286, 287, 291, 292, 294, 137, 60, 61, 66, 64, 65, 70, 71, 73, 67, 62, 63, 289, 100, 67, 68, 69, 78, 290, 246, 72; and 1d. in the pound on the second-class land, comprising Lots 74, 75, 76, 61, 62, of Sections 2 and 3, Pukekohe Parish, Drury Survey District: and that such special rates shall be an annually recurring rates for a period of twenty six years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid is at the rate of 4 1/2 per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan.
Passed at a special meeting of the Pukekohe Drainage Board held on the 25th day of January, 1908. Confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board on the 29th day of February, 1908.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in an unlawful business, it is hereby ordered, under section 9 of "The Post Office Act Amendment Act, 1906," that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to such person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to such address without a name, shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road through Waikaka C2, Block XIII, Waihou Survey District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of "The Public Works Act. 1905," that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 25th April, 1906, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 7th November, 1905.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of "The Public Works Act, 1905," that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 10th February, 1904, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 20th August, 1903.
