Special Order made by the Council of the County of Mackenzie.

THE following special order, made by the Mackenzie County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

COUNTY OF MACKENZIE.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £550, authorised to be raised by the Mackenzie County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of a bridge over the Rocky Gully Stream, the said Mackenzie County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/1000d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mackenzie County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was duly passed at a special meeting of the Mackenzie County Council held on the 7th day of February, 1908, and confirmed and sealed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 6th day of March, 1908.

THE following special order, made by the Amuri County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Amuri County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorised to be raised by the Amuri County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out the following works, viz.—

(a.) The formation, construction, and metalling of various roads within the County of Amuri, and culverts .. .. .. £6,745
(b.) The constructions of bridges and approaches thereto and of storm-water drain .. .. 2,335
(c.) First years’ interest, surveys, costs of raising loan, and sundries .. .. .. 920
£10,000

the said Amuri County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/128d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Amuri County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Amuri County Council on Saturday, the 1st day of February, 1908, and was confirmed as a special order at a meeting of the said Amuri County Council on Saturday, the 7th day of March, 1908.
