MAORI LAND ADMINISTRATION NOTICE.
Native Lands withdrawn from Leasing.
Office of the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board,
Gisborne, 7th December, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following lands, notified in the Gazette and Kahiti of the 12th November, 1908; the 19th November, 1908; and the 26th November, 1908, as open for leasing by public tender closing on the 23rd instant, have been withdrawn from competition:—
Section 1. Whakaangiangi 6A2, 1A2, and 1B2 Blocks: Mangaoporo Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 503 acres 3 roods 26 perches.
Section 2. Whakaangiangi 3B Block: Block IV, Mangaoporo Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 446 acres.
Section 3. Ahirau No. 2 Block (unsurveyed): Blocks XII and XVI, Matakaoa Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing 600 acres.

MINING NOTICES.
THE VANGUARD GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
RESOLUTIONS passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the Vanguard Gold-mining Company (Limited) held at the office of the company, Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, on Thursday, the 12th day of November, 1908, and confirmed at a second extraordinary general meeting held on the 4th day of December, 1908:—

That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JOHN WILLIAM NICHOL, of Auckland, Company Secretary, be appointed the Liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding-up.

That the said Liquidator be and is hereby empowered to transfer and sell to the May Queen Gold-mining Company (Limited) the whole of the business and property of the company (other than its cash, book-debts, and uncalled capital), in consideration of the issue and allotment to the said Liquidator, in trust for the members of this company, of 10,000 shares in the May Queen Gold-mining Company (Limited), credited in the books of such company as paid up to 2s. 9d. per share.

That the said Liquidator be and he is hereby empowered to distribute the said shares to be issued and allotted by the said May Queen Gold-mining Company (Limited) pro rata amongst the shareholders of this company.

THE WOOLSHED CREEK COAL-MINES COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held at Ashburton on the 20th day of October, 1908, the following special resolution was duly passed, and was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting held at Ashburton on the 16th day of November, 1908:—
“ That the Woolshed Creek Coal-mines Company (Limited) be voluntarily wound up.”
And at the same meeting Mr. WALTER PICKLES, of Ashburton, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.
