Order in Council fixing Date of Payment of Income-tax.

PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of October, 1908.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G.,
PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority vested in him under “The Land and Income Assessment Act, 1908,” and “The Land-tax and Income-tax Act, 1908,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and determine that the respective duties leviable under the said Acts by way of income-tax shall be paid in one sum, on Friday, the twenty-ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

And in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the place where the said duties of income-tax shall be payable shall be the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, at the Government Buildings, Wellington, and that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.

Native Land taken for the Purposes of the Te Wairoa-Tarawera Road through Te Urupa of Rotomahana-Parekarangi 6j2b Block, No. 5342, 6j2b (Red), Block VII, Tarawera Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1908.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, for the purposes of the Te Wairoa-Tarawera Road through Te Urupa of Rotomahana-Parekarangi 6j2b Block, No. 5342, 6j2b (red):

And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:

And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land, as required by the ninetieth section of “The Public Works Act, 1908”:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the ninetieth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purposes of the said Te Wairoa-Tarawera Road; and the said land shall vest in His Majesty the King as from the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nine.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Land temporarily reserved for Railway Purposes in Taihape Township, Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for railway purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 25 perches, more or less, being Section No. 47, Taihape Suburbs. Bounded towards the north-east by Adamson's Track, bounding Sections Nos. 28, 29, 30, 31, and 35, Taihape Suburbs; and towards the south-west and north-west by the Main Trunk Railway line: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5208/15, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Lands temporarily reserved for a Public Recreation-ground in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-ground.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 47 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being the northern portion of Section No. 1, Block IX, Kumeu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the west portion of Taupaki Block; towards the south-east by Motutara Block, 1750 and 1500 links; and towards the west generally by a reservation 1 chain wide running along high-water mark of the sea.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 25 acres 2 roods 32 perches, more or less, being the southern portion of Section No. 1, Block IX, Kumeu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Motutara Block, 585 and 2625 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 32, Block XI, Kumeu Survey District, the abutment of a road, and Native land; and towards the west generally by a reservation 1 chain wide running along high-water mark of the sea.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 1158/8, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
