Opening Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by “The Land Act, 1892,” “The
Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900,” and their
amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the
settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be
open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the
fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
eight, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and
I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under
and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” and
“The Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900.”

94½ chains of fencing on the eastern and south-eastern
boundary.

Situated at the south-western end of Kinloch Settlement, fronting the lower end of Lake Forsyth. One mile
and a half from Birdling’s Flat Railway-station by unformed road, and nine miles from Little River Railway-station. Hilly pastoral land, rising from sea-level to an
altitude of 800 ft. Pasture consists of tussock, with cocksfoot and clover. The tops of the spurs consist of good soil,
and are ploughable. There are some wire sheep-yards on
the section.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of December, one thousand
nine hundred and seven.
