sent a majority of the occupiers of all the hatters', mercers',
tailors', and clothiers' shops in the borough:
Now, therefore, I, Robert McNab, acting for and on
behalf of the Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 21
of “The Shops and Offices Act, 1904,” and section 5 of
“The Shops and Offices Act Amendment Act, 1905,” do
hereby direct that from and after the 20th day of January,
1908, all the hatters', mercers', tailors', and clothiers' shops
in the Borough of Grey Lynn shall be closed in accordance
with such requisition.

Auckland under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a ma-
jority of the occupiers of all the hatters', mercers',
tailors', and clothiers' shops in the City of Auckland, has
been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the
borough shall be closed at 1 o'clock p.m. on the statutory
half-holiday; 9 o'clock p.m. on one day, which shall be Fri-
day in the case of those observing Saturday as the half-
holiday, and Saturday in the case of those observing
Wednesday as the half-holiday; and at 6 o'clock p.m. on
the evening of the other four days in the week: And
whereas the City Council of Auckland has certified that
the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of
the occupiers of all the shops in the city:
Now, therefore, I, Robert McNab, acting for and on

1902,” I, Robert McNab, Minister of Lands, do hereby
authorise the laying-off of Kirk, Lemon, and Bell Streets,
in the Township of Otaki Extension No. 1, Wellington Land
District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. each, instead of
99 ft. as prescribed by section 17 of “The Land Act, 1892.”

of meetings of the Marlborough Land Board being
held at 10 o'clock a.m. on 14th January, 11th February,
10th March, 14th April, 12th May, 9th June, 14th July,
11th August, 15th September, 13th October, 10th November,
and 15th December during the year 1908.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Road through Puke-
nui Block, No. 6924.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
under the authority of section 93 of “The Public Works
Act, 1905,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto
was, on the 15th November, 1903, duly taken and laid off
through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the
authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant
dated the 23rd September, 1902.

taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said
Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said
Dominion, by Warrant dated the 1st September, 1903.
