the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Paraparaumu Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

PARAPARAUMU DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 5A, Block VIII, Paraparaumu Suburban. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 5 of said Block VIII, towards the south-east by the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company’s line, towards the south-west by a public road 1 chain wide, and towards the north-west by Section No. 4 of said Block VIII; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57122/18, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of November, 1907.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of Torere Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 12 perches, more or less, being Section No. 43, Torere Village. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 41 in the said village; towards the south-east and south-west by Torere Road; and towards the north-west by Section No. 42: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 47766, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of November, 1907.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Wangapeka Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

WANGAPEKA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, being Section No. 31, Block XV, Wangapeka Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 32 of the said Block XV, 2074 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 63 of the said Block XV, 2447 links; towards the west by the Wangapeka-Sherry Road, 1298 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57736/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Increasing the Holding-area of Land to Settlers in the Maitland Village Settlement, Southland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of November, 1907.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the fifteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, under the authority of the one-hundred-and-sixty-ninth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” fixing the terms and conditions upon which certain village-settlement lands therein enumerated should be disposed of, it was provided that no lessee should hold more than ten acres in the Maitland Village Settlement, Southland Land District:

And whereas it is expedient to allow one person to hold more than ten acres in the Maitland Village Settlement, provided that the total area acquired does not exceed twenty-five acres:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby amend the Order in Council aforesaid in so far as it affects the areas in which the land in the Maitland Village Settlement shall be held, and doth by this present Order declare that on and after the date hereof any settler may apply for and acquire land therein of an area not exceeding twenty-five acres in extent in the whole. And it is hereby further declared that all the provisions of the Order in Council of the fifteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, aforesaid, shall apply, except as regards the area in which the sections may be held, to the Maitland Village Settlement aforesaid.

Appointing District Valuers under “The Government Valuation of Land Act, 1896.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of November, 1907.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Government Valuation of Land Act, 1896,” His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint as from the 1st October, 1907,

ERNEST PERCY FOWLER, of Masterton;
JUSTIN FRANCIS HUNTLY MCCARTHY, of Wellington;
JOHN MUNRO WILSON, of Whangarei;

to be District Valuers under the said Act. Also, in order to remove all doubt as to the manner in which these appointments are made, it is hereby declared that the provisions of neither “The Civil Service Reform Act, 1886,” nor “The Civil Service Insurance Act, 1893,” apply to the persons so appointed.
