shall be made to the offences set out in Article II of the said Treaty, which agreement is in the terms following :—
The British and Swedish Governments, who agree that the Treaty signed at Stockholm on the 26th of June, 1873, between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway for the mutual surrender of fugitive criminals shall remain in force between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Kingdom of Sweden, in so far as its provisions apply to the Kingdom of Sweden alone, and who deem it desirable to make certain additions to the said Treaty, have authorised the Undersigned to declare that the following additions should be made to the offences set out in Article II of the said Treaty for which, under the circumstances and conditions stated in the said Treaty, extradition is to be granted :—

Perjury and subornation of perjury.

Receiving any money, valuable security, or other property, knowing the same to have been stolen or embezzled.

Malicious wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of fifteen years.

Bigamy.
-
Indecent assault.
-
Administering drugs or using instruments apt to procure the miscarriage of women, with intent to procure such miscarriage.

Any malicious act done with intent to endanger the safety of any person travelling or being upon a railway.

Knowingly making, without lawful authority, any instrument, tool, or engine adapted and intended for the counterfeiting of the coin of the realm.

Malicious injury to property, if such offence be indictable.
In witness whereof the Undersigned have signed the present Agreement, and have affixed thereto the seals of their arms.

Now, therefore, His Majesty, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, and in virtue of the authority committed to him by the said Extradition Acts, 1870 to 1906, doth order, and it is hereby ordered, that from and after the twenty-sixth day of August, 1907, the said Acts shall apply in the case of Sweden under and in accordance with the said Treaty as supplemented by the said Agreement above set forth :
Provided always that the operation of the said Acts shall be and remain suspended within the Dominion of Canada so long as an Act of the Parliament of Canada, being Part I of chapter 155 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1906, and entitled “An Act respecting the Extradition of Fugitive Criminals,” shall continue in force there, and no longer.

Notice to Mariners No. 72 of 1907.
KARAMEA RIVER, WEST COAST OF SOUTH ISLAND.—LIGHT TO BE ESTABLISHED.

NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the 4th November, 1907, a fixed white light of the sixth-order port-light will be exhibited from the flagstaff on north side of Karamea River close to the entrance, in latitude 41° 15′ S., longitude 172° 7′ E. (approximate), from Admiralty chart, showing a clear unbroken light all round from seaward between the bearings N. 7° E. round by east to S. 19° E. The light is at an elevation of 40 ft. above high water, and should be visible in clear weather at a distance of eight miles.

No vessel to enter until the signal “Take the bar” is shown, though all the leading-lights may be visible.
For outward-bound vessels only—
Vessels may proceed out: A green light 15 ft. vertically above the port-light. No vessel to proceed out before this signal is shown, notwithstanding that all the leading-lights may be visible.

Notice to Mariners No. 73 of 1907.
NEW ENTRANCE AND LIGHT FOR NELSON HARBOUR.

Wellington, N.Z., 17th October, 1907.
NOTICE is hereby given that a new entrance has been cut through the Boulder Bank which encloses the harbour at Nelson. The channel outside and the cut through the bank have been completed, and the channel now has a minimum depth of 15 ft. at L.W.O.S.T., but dredging is still being continued inside the harbour to make a uniform channel of 15 ft. depth to the wharves. At present the channel inside the harbour has a minimum depth of 12 ft. at L.W.O.S.T.
Ships enter the port through the new entrance at the discretion of the pilot, and under his charge only, until dredging-work inside the harbour has been finally completed.
On and after the 4th November, 1907, a temporary green light will be exhibited from the end of the breakwater which is on the south side of the new entrance to Nelson Harbour, 6·2 cables S. 27° W. of the Nelson Lighthouse. The light will be 12 ft. above high water, and will be exhibited from sunset to sunrise, and be visible all round the horizon, except when obscured by the land, for a distance of five miles.

SPENCER GULF.—ENTRANCE TO PORT PIRIE RIVER.
REFERRING to former Notices to Mariners of 1907,* masters of vessels and others are hereby informed that No. 1 light-beacon at the entrance to Port Pirie Creek has been repaired, and the light is now being exhibited as hitherto.
This affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 2389B and 403.

GULF ST. VINCENT.—PORT ADELAIDE RIVER.
Ketch sunk in the River.
Masters of vessels, pilots, and others are hereby informed that the ketch “Oscar Robinson” lies sunk in the channel at the west side of the cutting between Nos. 9 and 10 beacons, nearly opposite the square-headed black beacon on the Torrens Island side of the river.
