THE following special order, made by the Taihape Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £1,100.—Extension to Taihape Drainage System.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,100, authorised to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council, for extending the drainage system and providing house-drains and flushing-tank within the Taihape Drainage Special-rating District No. 2, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Taihape Drainage Special-rating District No. 2, comprising Sections 6 to 9 inclusive, Block II; Sections 8 and 9, Block III; Sections 12 to 20 inclusive, Block IV; Sections 8 to 13 inclusive, Block V; Sections 6 to 19 inclusive, Block VI; Sections 3 to 9 inclusive, Block VII; Sections 6 to 19 inclusive, Block VIII—all in Taihape Township; also Allotments 1 to 5 inclusive, Section 45A, Taihape Suburban: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring one during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 19th day of June and the nineteenth day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Anthony Nathan, Mayor of Taihape, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Taihape Borough Council held for the purpose on Thursday, the 5th day of September, 1907, and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the said Taihape Borough Council which was held on the 3rd day of October, 1907.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Borough of Taihape has been hereunto affixed.

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorised to be raised by the Cambridge Borough Council, under the authority of the above-mentioned Act, for the following works—namely, (1) improvements to gasworks, addition to gas plant and services, £750; (2) dining-room and shelter-sheds and addition to borough saleyards, £250; (3) repairing Karapiro Bridge, £300—the said Cambridge Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Borough of Cambridge, comprising 658 town sections and fifty-one Town Belt sections, containing 1,083 acres, more or less, and being situated in Block IX of Cambridge Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on the 9th day of September, 1907, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 11th day of October, 1907.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Invercargill, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF INVERCARGILL.
In the matter of a special loan of £17,000 proposed to be raised by the Council of the Borough of Invercargill under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 4th day of October, 1907, a proposal was submitted by the above-mentioned Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Invercargill for raising a special loan of £17,000 for and in connection with the constructing, providing, and establishing certain public works, and engaging in certain undertakings, which said proposal was published in the Southland Daily News (being a newspaper circulating in the said borough) on the 28th day of August and the 5th, 12th, and 19th days of September, 1907; and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 258 votes; against the proposal, 90 votes.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
