Exempting Harland and Buck Streets, Vogeltown, in the City
of Wellington, from the Provisions of Section 117 of “The
Public Works Act, 1905,” subject to certain Conditions as
to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of October, 1907.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred
and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it
is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply
in any case where the local authority having control of a
road or street by resolution declares that the provisions
thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any
specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by
the Governor in Council:
And whereas by section three of “The Public Works Act
Amendment Act, 1906,” it is provided that such approval
may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the
Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas on the sixth day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and seven, the Council of the City of Wel-
ington, the local authority having control of the streets
known as Harland and Buck Streets, Vogeltown, being the
streets described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution
declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred
and seventeen should not apply to the said streets:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution
should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter
mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of
the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the
said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or
part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side
of the said streets within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-line of the said streets.
SCHEDULE.
Those streets known as Harland and Buck Streets, Vogel-
town, in the City of Wellington, situated between Veronica
Street and McIntire Street, Vogeltown, a distance of about
4 chains; as the said streets are more particularly delineated
on the plan marked R. 9187, deposited in the office of the
Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

Vesting a Reserve in the Rangitikei County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth
day of October, 1907.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been permanently reserved for the deposit of
road material:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is ex-
pedient to vest the said reserve in the Rangitikei County
Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him
by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,”
doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabit-
ants of the Rangitikei County, in trust, for the deposit of
road material.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 7 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 10, Block III, Tiri raukawa Survey District. Bounded
towards the north-east by the East Taheke Road and by
Section No. 22 of said Block III, towards the east by the
reserve 1 chain wide along the bank of the Mangapapa
Stream, and towards the south-west by Section No. 11, of
said Block III and by the East Taheke Road; as the same
is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57779/1, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.
