Lands taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block XIV,
Motuotaria Survey District, Patangata County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1905,” for the purposes of a road :
And whereas the Patangata County Council has laid before
the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
“The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the
publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands
mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the
purposes of a road.

more particularly delineated on the plan marked and
coloured as above noted, and deposited in the office of the
Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this ninth day of October, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its
amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent
of the owners and mortgagee of the lands mentioned in the
First Schedule hereto, and of the Takaka County Council,
being the local authority in whose district the said lands are
situated, proclaim as a road the lands in Takaka Survey
District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also
do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as
closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto,
which is not required by reason of the road first herein-
before proclaimed,

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by “The River Boards Act, 1884,” I, Wil-
liam Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from
and after the date hereof, that part of the said Dominion
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is
hereby constituted a district under the said Act, and shall
be known by the name of the Ahikouka River District; and
that the number of members who are to constitute the
Board of the said district shall be five. And I do also pro-
claim and declare that Henry Hilmar Wolters, of Carterton,
shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election
of five members of the aforesaid Board; that Friday, the
eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
seven, shall be the day, and the office of the Greytown
Borough Council, at Greytown, shall be the place, for hold-
ing such first election; and that Friday, the fifteenth day
of November, one thousand nine hundred and seven, at
eleven o’clock in the forenoon, shall be the time, and the
said office of the Greytown Borough Council, at Greytown,
shall be the place, at which the first meeting of the members
of the Board of the said Ahikouka River District shall be
held; and, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the afore-
said Henry Hilmar Wolters shall be the person to make a
roll of electors for the purposes of the aforesaid first elec-
tion, in the manner prescribed by section eight of the said
“River Boards Act, 1884.”
