Blocks I, Kaiwhata, and IV and VIII, Wainuioru; and by Section 7 in the last-mentioned block to the Kuamahanga Stream: thence proceeding in a north-westerly direction by the said stream, and by the Wairarapa South County to the Taueru River; thence by the said river to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the Council, this 13th day of August, 1907; confirmed this 10th day of September, 1907.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Masterton, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that a poll was taken on the 26th day of September, 1907, on the following proposal: The Masterton Borough Council hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to raise a special loan of £12,000 for new buildings, manufacturing plant, extension of mains and services, meters, stoves and fittings, and contingencies for the Masterton Corporation gasworks; and to make an annually recurring special rate of 2½d. in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton as security for the interest and sinking fund in connection with such loan. The whole of the loan is to be repayable on the 31st day of December, 1926. It is not proposed to pay out of the loan-moneys the cost of raising the loan, or the first year’s interest of the loan during the construction of the said works.
And that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 110; against, 51.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

I HEREBY give notice that at the poll held, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” on Saturday, the 6th day of July, 1907, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £500 for extending the shed and wharf accommodation at Kawhia, and erecting launch wharves and sheds at Oparau, Anaroa, and Kinohaku, the following numbers of votes were polled: For the proposal, 55; against the proposal, 2.
I hereby declare the proposal carried.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in an immoral business, it is hereby ordered, under section 9 of “The Post Office Act Amendment Act, 1906,” that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to such address without a name, shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under “The Government Railways Act, 1900,” I, Joseph George Ward, Minister for Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways open for traffic, such alterations to come into force on and after the 1st day of October, 1907:—

Return excursion tickets for the through journey by rail and coach to Hanmer Plains will be issued from Invercargill, Dunedin, Christchurch, Papanui, and Kaiapoi daily throughout the year, available for return for three months from date of issue.
Return through fare by rail and coach, first class:—
