Invercargill Borough Council’s Abattoir made available for the Purposes of the Boroughs of Avenal, Gladstone, North Invercargill, East Invercargill, and South Invercargill.—Notice No. 1137.

IN pursuance of section 15, subsection (6), (a), of “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900,” it is hereby notified that the abattoir established by the Invercargill Borough Council for the district comprising the Borough of Invercargill has, by agreement between the said Borough Council and the Councils of the Boroughs of Avenal, Gladstone, North Invercargill, East Invercargill, and South Invercargill, been made available for the purposes of the districts comprising the said boroughs; and that the Invercargill Borough Council is the controlling authority of the said abattoir.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this twenty-third of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee, as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the value of the land for the purposes of section 5 of the said Act being less than £100.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 40 acres, be the same a little more or less, being eastern portion of Allotment 17, and western portion of Allotment 18, in the Parish of Maungataniwha, in the Provincial District of Auckland.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have, for the purposes of “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” made due inquiries with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder written, and the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by section 4 of the said Act, and have in all respects complied with the provisions of the said section: And whereas I have not thereby ascertained who the owner is, and believe that such owner is not in the colony, nor has such owner established his title to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the said Act, vested in me, as the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the said Act; the value of the land for the purposes of section 5 of the said Act being less than £100.

Sitting of the Commission appointed under Section 14 of “The Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment Act, 1906.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Commission appointed under section 14 of “The Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment Act, 1906,” will be held at the Borough Council Chambers, Hastings, on Saturday, the 14th day of September, 1907, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of carrying out and giving effect to any agreement or arrangement made by and among the plaintiffs in the action or suit No. 818 in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, held at Napier, for ascertaining and determining the names of the owners of, or persons entitled to, and the relative share or interest of each of them in, that parcel of land situate in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay known as Pakowhai, or such part of the said parcel of land as is now vested in the Venerable Samuel Williams, of Te Aute, on behalf of such plaintiff and other aboriginal Natives of New Zealand, and to make an order accordingly.
