THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

THE following is the scale of fees to be paid for animals
slaughtered at the Greymouth Borough Abattoir,
situated at Karoro in the said borough, which said abattoir
has been registered within the meaning of “The Slaughter-
ing and Inspection Act, 1900,” viz. :—
s. d.
Large cattle .. .. .. 6 0 per head.
Calves .. .. .. 3 0 ”
Sheep and lambs .. .. 1 3 ”
Pigs .. .. .. 3 0 ”
Cleaning tripes .. .. 0 6 ”
Cleaning calves’ heads and trotters 0 6 ”
All fees shall be payable to the Inspector before the
removal of the carcase in respect of which the same shall be
due, and may be recovered without any previous demand
having been made therefor: Provided that the Inspector
may, with the consent of the Council, allow monthly
accounts to approved regular customers, in which case the
fees shall be paid at the Town Clerk’s office, Mackay
Street, Greymouth, on or before the 11th day of each
month.

CARRINGTON ROAD BOARD.
SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,”
the Board of the inhabitants of the Carrington Road Dis-
trict (hereinafter called “the Carrington Road Board”)
hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,700, authorised to be raised by the
Carrington Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act,
for—
(a.) The purchasing of land and widening of Victoria
Road at the northern end of district (estimated
cost, £1,000);
(b.) The cutting-down and regrading Ratanui Hill, and
extending metal on Carrington Road at the in-
land end of the district (estimated cost, £1,000);
(c.) The metalling of two unmetalled portions of Brook-
lands Road, situate between Avenue and Car-
rington Roads (estimated cost, £350);
(d.) The formation and part metalling of the Mill Road
(estimated cost, £200),
the said Carrington Road Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property of the Carrington Road District; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
