Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Pudding Hill Domain.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of August, 1907.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section nine of “The Domain Boards Act, 1904” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” control of any public domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made under the provisions of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” on the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seven, the land described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint

THE ASHBURTON COUNTY COUNCIL

to be the Pudding Hill Domain Board, having control of the domain described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seven, at eleven o'clock a.m., as the time when, and the County Council Office, Ashburton, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

PUDDING HILL DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 87 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less (formerly part of State Forest Reserve No. 3315), situated in Block VIII, Hutt Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east generally by Rural Section No. 16809, a road-line, Rural Section No. 2871, and a line in continuation of the latter boundary, a distance of 5263 links; towards the west by a line bearing 348° 53′, distant 859·6 links, to a road-line running up a spur; thence generally towards the north-west by the said road to its junction with the road continued along the north-eastern side of the said Rural Section No. 16809; and towards the north-east by the latter road, a distance of 2865·1 links, to the north-eastern corner of the said Rural Section No. 16809: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55554, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and bordered red thereon.

Laing's Creek and its Tributaries, Auckland Land District, notified under “The Timber-floating Act, 1884.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the second section of “The Timber-floating Act, 1884,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the undermentioned creek and its tributary streams and branches may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

LAING'S CREEK and its branches or tributary streams, situated in Whangarei County.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Notifying Lands in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirteenth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.
