Education Board of the District of Marlborough.—Election of Members.

IN accordance with section 26 of “The Education Act, 1904,” it is hereby publicly notified that at the election held on 22nd July, 1907, the following votes were recorded:—

Eastern Ward—

Central Ward—
McCallum, Richard (unopposed).

Western Ward—
Storey, John Sumner (unopposed).

Western Ward (extraordinary vacancy)—

Weaver, Alexander .. .. .. 36

The total number of valid votes recorded was 219. The total number of voting-papers rejected as informal was 10.
I therefore declare that members have been duly elected as follows: Eastern Ward—William Benoni Parker; Central Ward—Richard McCallum; Western Ward—John Sumner Storey; Western Ward (extraordinary vacancy)—John Smith.

IN pursuance of the provisions of section 26 of “The Education Act, 1904,” and the amendments thereof, it is hereby publicly notified that at the election held on 22nd July, 1907, the following gentlemen have been duly elected members of the Education Board of the District of Grey:—

For the Northern Ward—
KERR, JAMES.

For the Eastern Ward—
MCCARTHY, JEREMIAH.

For the Western Ward—
KETTLE, WILLIAM ROBERT.

The total numbers of valid votes recorded were as follows:—

Northern Ward—

The numbers of voting-papers rejected as informal were—Northern Ward, nil; Western Ward, nil. For the Eastern Ward, JEREMIAH MCCARTHY, being the only candidate, was returned without election.

The Education Board of the District of North Canterbury.—Election of Members.

IN accordance with section 26 of “The Education Act, 1904,” I hereby give notice that the number of valid votes recorded for the several candidates at the election of members of the Education Board of the District of North Canterbury held on the 22nd day of July, 1907, is as follows, to wit:—

Central Ward (one member)—
Jamieson, John .. .. .. 60
Opie, Charles Henry Adolphus Truscott .. 44
Chilton, Charles, D.Sc., M.A. .. .. 32

The total number of valid votes recorded is 136. The number of votes rejected as informal is 1.

South Ward (one member)—
Hardy, Charles Albert Creery .. .. 313
Chapman, Henry Thomas .. .. 77

The total number of valid votes recorded is 390. The total number of votes rejected as informal is 21.

I therefore declare the said JOHN JAMIESON to be duly elected member of the Education Board of the District of North Canterbury for the Central Ward, and the said CHARLES ALBERT CREERY HARDY to be duly elected member of the said Board for the South Ward.

DAVID BUDDO, and no other person, having been duly nominated as member of the Education Board of the District of North Canterbury in respect of the North Ward, I hereby declare the said David Buddo to be duly elected member of the said Board for the said ward.
