Additional Land in Piopiotea Survey District taken for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to take further land in Piopiotea Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Helensville Northwards Railway, Te Hana Section.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the extension of the Helensville Northwards Railway from a point in Section 8, Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District, to Maungaturoto (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1902”: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same—Te Hana Section:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
Commencing at a point marked seventy miles, which point is about 370 links due east and 310 links due south from the terminal point of the railway as described in a Proclamation dated the 14th day of April, 1906, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 30, of the 19th day of April, 1906; proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of six miles, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., Sections 117, 117A, 116, 115, 114, north-east portion of Section 113, western portion of Section 113, northern portion of Section 113, eastern portion of Sections 109, 185, 184, northern portion of Section 181, and Section 181, Block XII, Otamatea Survey District; Section 181, northern portion of Section 181, Waimanu Native Block, No. 3993 (in red), Native land, Ohoapewa Native Block, No. 4285 (in red), Block VIII, Otamatea Survey District; Ohoapewa Native Block, No. 4285 (in red), and Native land—and terminating at a point in said Native land, Block VII, Otamatea Survey District, about 130 chains due north of the southern boundary and about 40 chains due west of the eastern boundary of said Block VII, Otamatea Survey District: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Auckland: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 22820, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906,” for scenery-preservation purposes:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenery-preservation purposes as aforesaid. And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.
