Crown Land reserved under “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister of Lands, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic interest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor; and shall from time to time recommend what lands, whether Crown or private, should be permanently reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and report on the parcels of Crown land described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said land should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the parcels of Crown land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a reserve under “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and shall be subject to the provisions of that Act and “The Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1906.”

Lands set apart for State Forest Purposes in the Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the forest lands described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for State forests within the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 142 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 27 and 28, Block IV, Glenkenich Survey District, and Section No. 16, Block IX, Rankleburn Survey District. Bounded towards the north by part of Section No. 4, by the crossing and abutment of a road-line, and by Section No. 21, all in the said Block IV, 4722 links, and by part of Section No. 25 of the said Block IX, 1873 links; towards the east generally by part of Section No. 19, Block IX, 2822 links; towards the south by Section No. 17, Block IX, 1720 links, and by part of Section No. 30, Block IV, 1010 links; towards the west by Section No. 11, Block IV, 1476 links; again towards the south by other part of said Section No. 11 and by the crossing of a road-line, 1463 links; again towards the east by the abutment of said road, 605 links; again towards the south by the abutment of a road-line, 2253 links; and again towards the west by Section No. 3, Block IV, 1949 links: excluding from the above-described area a road-line intersecting the same: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated
