Forbidding the Registering, Forwarding, or Delivery of Postal Matter for Herr Rasmussen and others.
THE Postmaster-General of the Colony of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons and the institutes and companies whose names or styles and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in advertising the treatment of diseases of the sexual organs, it is hereby ordered, under section 9 of “The Post Office Act Amendment Act, 1906,” that no postal packet addressed to any of such persons (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to such institutes or companies, or to such addresses without a name, shall be either registered, forwarded, or delivered by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Special Order made by the Waipawa Town Board.

THE following special order, made by the Waipawa Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” in substitution for that already gazetted on pages 945–46, Gazette, 1907.

WAIPAWA TOWN BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Waipawa Town Board held on Saturday, the 30th day of March, 1907, viz.:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waipawa Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £7,000, authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land for reservoir, and for the purpose of purchasing land for water-mains, and for the purpose of purchasing engine and pumping plant, and for the erection of a reservoir, and for the laying of water-mains in Rose Street, Church Street, Waverley Street, Ruataniwha Road, Kenilworth Street, Great North Road, Harding’s Street, Victoria Street, McGreevy Street, Guy Street, Bennett Street, Rathbone Street, Shanly Street, Johnston Street, and Bibby Street, to supply water within the Town District of Waipawa, the said Waipawa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipawa Town District, comprising all that area in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay bounded towards the north generally by Block LVII in the Waipukurau Survey District, from the north-western corner of Block LVI to the north-eastern corner of the said Block LVI, thence by a right line to the intersection of the south side of the Waipawa–Tamumu Road by the Great North Road, thence by the said Waipawa–Tamumu Road to the Haowhenua Native Reserve, thence towards the east by that reserve to the Waipawa River, thence towards the south by that river to the south-western corner of Block LVI aforesaid, and thence towards the west by Block LVII aforesaid, the place of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special orders, made by the Foxton Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

FOXTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
At a special meeting of the Foxton Borough Council held on the 11th March the following special orders were made:—
(1.) That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, and by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in terms of section 118 of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” dated the 14th day of December, 1906, the Foxton Borough Council resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the Foxton Borough Council’s share of the cost of construction of a bridge (including approaches and protective works) over the Manawatu River near Shannon, known as the Shannon Bridge, the site of the said bridge, approaches, and protective works being more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 2749, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, Wellington, and shown thereon in red, the Foxton Borough Council borrow from the Colonial Treasurer the sum of £600 for forty-one years, at 4½ per centum per annum, as provided in subclause (c) of section 8 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903.”
(2.)
