Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve heretofore duly set apart for ferry purposes, being a reserve within Class I of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and such land has not been vested in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees:
And whereas it is expedient that such land shall be appropriated for a public park, being a reserve within Class III of the aforesaid Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” do by this notification declare that the said land shall, from and after the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seven, be appropriated for a public park under Class III of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881”; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 46 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 15, Block VIII, Inangahua Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Crown land, 2255·6 links; towards the south-east by a railway reserve, 638·1 and 731 links, and by a public road, 842·7 links; towards the south-west by Crown land, 2242 links; and towards the north-west by Crown land, 1985·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56889/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Polling-places abolished and appointed, Taranaki Electoral District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Electoral Act, 1905,” it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may from time to time appoint, alter, and abolish polling-places for each electoral district within the limits thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the places mentioned in the First Schedule hereto as polling-places for the electoral district the name of which is therein specified, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto to be additional polling-places for the electoral district the name of which is therein specified.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
POLLING-PLACES ABOLISHED.
Taranaki Electoral District—
The polling-booth, east end Devon Street, New Plymouth.
Mr. Leland’s (late Petrie’s) Hall, Mangorei (lower), New Plymouth.

Taranaki Electoral District—
Crocker’s Store, Devon Street East, New Plymouth.
Mr. Parsons’ House, Petrie’s Corner, Mangorei (lower), New Plymouth.

Old-age Pension Districts altered.
PLUNKET, Governor.
PURSUANT to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by “The Old-age Pensions Act, 1898,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby revoke so much of Regulation 68 of the regulations made under the said Act on the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and three, as relates to the Invercargill Old-age Pension District, and in lieu thereof doth hereby constitute the Invercargill and Gore Old-age Pension Districts, with the same boundaries as those of the districts or portions of districts described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that such alteration shall take effect on and after the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seven.
SCHEDULE.
GORE OLD-AGE PENSION DISTRICT.
THE whole of the Waikaiā Riding of the Southland County and those portions of the Mataura and Hokonui Ridings thereof, including interior boroughs, north and east of a line commencing on the Southland County boundary at a point on the right bank of the Waipahi River 14 chains south of Trig. Station O, Kuriwao District; thence extending north-westerly to the southernmost corner of Section 10, Block I, Slopedown District; thence along road-line to the south-western corner of Section No. 20, Block II, of the said district; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along a road-line to the south-western corner of Section 7, Block III, in the said district; thence in a westerly direction continuing along the aforesaid road to the Waiarikiki Stream; thence continuing along the same road forming the south boundaries of Sections Nos. 92, 71, 89, 93, 60, 90, 59, 94, Block VI, and 21, 19, 18, 6, and intersecting Sections Nos. 46 and 49, Block III, Tuturau District, to the Mataura River; thence along the right bank of that river to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section No. 10E, Edendale Settlement; thence by the northern boundary of said Section No. 10E to the railway; thence south-westerly along the railway to the old Dunedin Road; thence westerly along that road and the southern boundary of Section No. 56, Block V, Lindhurst Hundred, to the Titipua Stream; thence westerly along that stream to the eastern boundary of Forest Hill Hundred; thence due north to the western boundary of Hokonui Riding.
INVERCARGILL OLD-AGE PENSION DISTRICT.
All that portion of the Southland County not included in the Gore Old-age Pension District, and Stewart Island County, including interior boroughs.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Vesting Control of Tokatoka–Mangapai Road in Hobson County.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and fifty of “The Counties Act, 1886” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that if a road lies partly in one county and partly in another, such road shall be under the control of such one of the counties, or of such local authority or local authorities within either of such counties, as the Governor from time to time directs:
And whereas part of the Tokatoka–Mangapai Road, described in the Schedule hereto, is partly in the Hobson County and partly in the Otamatea County:
And whereas the Hobson County Council has applied for the Governor’s consent under the said Act to vest the control of the said road in such Council:
And whereas it is expedient that such request should be approved:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section two hundred and fifty of “The Counties Act, 1886,” do hereby direct that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall be under the control of the Hobson County Council as from the date of this Warrant.
