Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 20th day of August, 1907.

Vesting a Reserve in the Motueka Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1907.

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for gravel purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Motueka Borough Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Motueka Borough, in trust, for gravel purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 196A, Motueka Original District, Block VII, Motueka Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 400 links; towards the east by Section No. 196, 500 links; towards the south by Section No. 196, 400 links; and towards the west by Section No. 203, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57001/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations under Section 7 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act Amendment Act, 1906.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1907.

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section ten of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act Amendment Act, 1906” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, make regulations for any purpose for which they are contemplated by the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to make the regulations hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations with respect to the transfer, adjustment, or apportionment of loans under section seven of the said Act:—
REGULATIONS.
- (a.) Where the whole of any area over which a special rate has been made as security for a loan is merged or included within the district of a local authority other than the local authority that made the rate, such last-mentioned authority shall, within two months after such merger or inclusion, give notice to the local authority in whose district such area has been merged or included, and also to the Colonial Treasurer, of all existing loans in respect of which special rates have been made over such area.
(b.) Such notice shall be in the form numbered 1 in the Schedule hereto.
- (a.) Where part only of any such area is merged or included as aforesaid the local authority that made the rate shall, within two months after such merger or inclusion, give notice to the local authority in whose district such part area has been merged or included, and also to the Colonial Treasurer, of all existing loans in respect of which special rates have been made over such part area, and of any proposed adjustment or apportionment of the liability in respect thereof among the respective local authorities affected by such merger or inclusion.
(b.) Such notice shall be in the form numbered 2 in the Schedule hereto.

Any local authority affected that objects to such proposed adjustment or apportionment shall forward notice of its objection to the Colonial Treasurer within twenty-one days from the receipt of the notice referred to in the last preceding regulation.

As soon as any transfer, adjustment, or apportionment of liability in respect of any loan has been made the Secretary to the Treasury shall forward to every local authority directly affected thereby a notice in the form numbered 3 in the Schedule hereto.
