THE following lists contain statements of the principal results of the examination held in January. It must be understood that the granting of a certificate depends only in part upon the result of an examination, and that candidates that have not had the experience required by the regulations, or that do not receive the necessary marks from an Inspector of Schools, have no claim to a certificate. Further, in accordance with clauses 11 and 12 of the regulations, no person can receive a teacher’s certificate who does not produce (a) satisfactory evidence of age, and (b) sufficient documentary evidence of freedom from all such physical defects as are incompatible with efficiency in teaching and in the management of a school.
