or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any land containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Sections 13, 14, and 15 level land, about sea-level; spring tides are kept out by stop-bank and flood-gates along bank of river; soil alluvial marine deposit, covered with rushes and an occasional patch of tea-tree. Situated about seven miles from Raupo by navigable water or formed road. Section 17 is an island at the mouth of the Awaroa River, most of it well above spring tides; level land; soil alluvial, covered with rushes, with mangroves all round on river-bank. Distant about six miles from Raupo by navigable water. Sections 13 to 15 are within two miles and Section 17 within half-mile of Mapau.

Appointment of Trustees, Waihi Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” and “The Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1906” (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint

Brevet-Colonel RICHARD HUTTON DAVIES, C.B., New Zealand Militia, Officer Commanding Auckland Military District;

Major ARTHUR TOM KENRICK, 2nd Battalion, Auckland (Hauraki) Infantry Volunteers; and

Captain HAROLD JAMES ROLLINSON, Waihi Rifle Volunteers,

to be Trustees of all that area in the Auckland Land District, being allotments numbered 31B and 32A of the Town of Waihi, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 12 perches, more or less: bounded towards the north-east by Haszard Street, 20 links; towards the south-east by allotments numbered 31 and 32 of the Town of Waihi, 400 links; towards the south-west by allotments numbered 12A and 12B of the Town of Waihi, 120 links; towards the north-west by allotments numbered 14, 15, and 16 of the Town of Waihi, 250 links; and towards the north-east and north-west by allotment numbered 31A of the Town of Waihi, 100 links and 50 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Waihi Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the twenty-ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.

Amending Regulations under “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1905.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

PURSUANT to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1905,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke Regulation No. 49 of the regulations made by Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Earl of Ranfurly, dated the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and one, and in lieu thereof do hereby make the following regulation, that is to say:—

TRAVELLING-EXPENSES OF MEMBERS OF ARBITRATION COURT.

  1. When engaged or in attendance on the business of the Court, or in travelling to and from the place of sitting, each of the two elected members shall be paid as travelling-expenses the sum of one pound for each day on land, and five shillings for each day at sea; but such allowance for expenses shall be paid only when he is necessarily absent from his home at night. Cost of transport by land or sea shall be defrayed by the Government.

Trustees for the Cust and West Eyreton Public Cemetery appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

DAVID GARLAND,
EDWARD WOLFF, and
CHARLES DAVY BLACKMORE

to be Trustees, in the place of William Frederick Conway and Charles Ruddenklau, resigned, and Henry Lee, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Cust and West Eyreton Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six.
