Declaring Road Reserve in the County of Clifton to be a Government Road.


PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, 1906.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a Government road.


SCHEDULE.

Approximate Area of Land contained in Road Reserve. Being Section Situated in Block Situated in Survey District of Shown on Plan Coloured on Plan
A. R. P. 6 0 0 8 III Waitara .. R. 8466 Green.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 1025, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and marked E.F., and tinted blue thereon.

Declaring Puhirau South Road, in Rangitikei County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, 1906.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road in Rangitikei County described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

PUHIRUA ROAD.

ALL that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Puhirau South Road, commencing at its junction with the Puhirua and Wairano Roads, and proceeding generally in a southerly direction through Section 26, Block III, Hautapu Survey District; thence along frontages of Sections 5 and 6, Block VII, Hautapu Survey District, and terminating at the southern boundary of the Ohutu Improved-farm Settlement Block, being a distance of 1 mile 13½ chains or thereabouts: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 856, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured carmine, and lettered A.B.

Exempting Mein Street, in the City of Wellington, from the Provisions of Section 117 of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.


PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, 1906.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:

And whereas by section three of “The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1906,” it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose:

And whereas on the fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and six, the Council of the City of Wellington, the local authority having control of the street known as Mein Street, being the street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said street:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part recited Acts, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.


SCHEDULE.

THAT street known as Mein Street, in the City of Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, situated between Riddiford Street and the Town Belt; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 6861, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.
