vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its De-
pendencies; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-second day of December, in the year
of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
sixth day of November, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required for a certain public work, to wit, a
Native school:

And whereas the Native owners have agreed to make a
free gift of the said land to His Majesty the King, and it
has been made to appear that such agreement is sufficient
for the purposes intended to be effected thereby:

And whereas by an order of the Native Land Court, made
upon investigation of title, and bearing date the twenty-
third day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
certain aboriginal Natives are declared to be the owners of
the Mataora Block, within which the said land is situated:

And whereas, as required by “The Public Works Acts
Compilation Act, 1905,” a map has been prepared show-
ing accurately the position and extent of the said land, and
such map is hereto attached:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works
Acts Compilation Act, 1905,” and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the land shown
upon the said map and described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of the said Native school,
and shall vest in His Majesty the King, as from the
fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and
seven.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan as described above, de-
posited in the Education Department, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered pink.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
sixth day of November, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the
third section of “The Land Drainage Act, 1904,”
a majority of the ratepayers in the area of land described
in the Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Manukau,
have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, praying that the said area be
constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the
said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority contained in the third section of “The
Land Drainage Act, 1904,” and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby constitute and declare the area of land
described in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the
purposes of Part I of the said Act, and to be called by the
name of the “Pukekohe Drainage District”; and also,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority con-
tained in the fourth section of the said Act, doth hereby
declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall
consist of five persons, to be elected as members of the
said Board under and in accordance with the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

PUKEKOHE DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in
Drury Survey District, bounded towards the north-west by
the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections
Nos. 62, 61, and 60, Parish of Pukekohe, from the western-
most corner of Section No. 62 aforesaid to the northernmost
corner of Section No. 60; thence by a right line across the
said road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 59;
thence by the production in a north-easterly direction of the
north-western side of the road forming the north-western
boundary of the said Section No. 60 for a distance of 28
chains; thence towards the north by a right line running
parallel to the road forming the northern boundaries of
Sections Nos. 64, 68, 69, and 71 for a distance of 42 chains;
thence towards the east by a right line at a right angle with
the last-mentioned boundary-line to the southern side of the
road forming the northern boundary of the said Section
No. 71; thence towards the south by the last-mentioned
road to the westernmost corner of the said Section No. 71;
thence again towards the east by Sections Nos. 71, 72, and
73, Parish of Pukekohe, and the western boundary-line of
the last-mentioned section produced to the southern side of
the road forming the southern boundary of the said Section
No. 73; thence again towards the north generally by the
last-mentioned road and the road forming the northern
boundaries of Allotments Nos. 293, 287, 139, and 132,
Section No. 2, Pukekohe Settlement; thence again towards
the east by the road forming the eastern boundaries of
Allotments Nos. 132, 133, 134, and 135, Section No. 2 afore-
said; thence towards the south-east generally by the road
forming the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 135
and 136, Section No. 2 aforesaid; thence by the road form-
ing the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 102
and 103, Section No. 1, Pukekohe Settlement; thence by
the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 103, 101,
100, 99, 98, 97, and 96, Section No. 1 aforesaid; thence by
the road forming the south-western boundary of the last-
mentioned allotment; thence by the road forming the south-
eastern boundaries of Section No. 78, Parish of Pukekohe,
and Allotment No. 246, Section No. 2, Pukekohe Settle-
ment; and thence towards the south-west generally by
Allotments Nos. 247 and 248, Section No. 2 aforesaid, and
Allotment No. 74, Section No. 3, the road forming the
north-western boundary of Allotment No. 248, and the road
forming the south-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 54,
62, and 61, Section No. 3, Pukekohe Settlement, and the
road forming the south-western boundary of Section No. 62,
Parish of Pukekohe, to the road forming the north-
western boundary of the last-mentioned section, the place of
commencement.
