PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1905”; and in
the matter of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and its
amendments.

N OTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the
Portobello Road Board, on behalf of “The In-
habitants of the Portobello Road District,” to take for
the purpose of a certain public work — to wit, the con-
struction of a road — all that parcel of land in the
Provincial District of Otago, containing 1 acre 3 roods
21 poles (more or less), being part of Sections 45, 46,
and 47, Block II, Portobello District, which piece of land
commences at the south-western corner of Section 45 afore-
said, and runs thence in an east-north-eastern direction to
the boundary-line between Section 47 aforesaid and Block B,
Otago Heads Native Reserve; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan hereinafter mentioned. And
notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands
required to be taken has been prepared, and a copy thereof
deposited at the Post-office Store, Portobello, where it is
open for inspection, in terms of the provisions of “The
Public Works Act, 1905.”

All persons affected by the taking of the said lands as
aforesaid are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any
well-grounded objection to the execution of the said work
or the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice,
to the said Portobello Road Board.

Dated at Portobello, this thirty-first day of January, one
thousand nine hundred and seven.

THE WAIKATO RIVERSIDE ESTATE (LIMITED).

N OTICE is hereby given that by an extraordinary
resolution passed by the shareholders of the above
company at an extraordinary general meeting of such
company held on the 26th day of April, 1905, it was
resolved that the company should be wound up volun-
tarily, and that THOMAS FREDERICK MARSHALL should be
appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
The company was registered under the English Companies
Acts, and its registered office was at 154 Gresham House,
Old Broad Street, in the City of London, in England, and
the address of the Liquidator is 154 Gresham House afore-
said. And notice is hereby further given that since the said
26th day of April, 1905, the said company has voluntarily
ceased to carry on business in the Colony of New Zealand,
and henceforth ceases to carry on business in the said
colony.
