Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Wellington Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred by section thirty-eight of “The Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1906,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby change the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for primary education to a reserve for public recreation.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, and being part of Section No. 104, Block I, Otahoua Survey District. Bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waipoua River 665 links from and at a right angle to the boundary-line between other part of the said Section No. 104 and Section No. 105 of the said block and district; thence north-westerly on a bearing of 140° 22′ of true meridian, a distance of 1501 links, to the left bank of the said Waipoua River; and thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and easterly by the said Waipoua River to the point of commencement: be the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 26195/19, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged pink.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Land temporarily reserved in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.
PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the land so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 16, Elsthorpe Village: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56648/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a mechanics’ institute and athenæum.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seven.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 9, Block V, Town of Mangaweka; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 52676/10, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For the use of the Department of Agriculture.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block VII, Retaruke Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and south-east by Section No. 3 of the said block, and towards the south-west by Section No. 2; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56518, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For the preservation of scenery.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, being Reserve No. 1 (in red), in Blocks II, III, VI, VII, IX, and X of the Hope Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 5,000 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by the production in a westerly direction of the north boundary of Section No. 5 of Block III of the Hope Survey District until it meets a point one mile distant, at right angles to the general direction of the Hope River; towards the east by Sections Nos. 5 and 19, Reserve No. 34, and Section No. 30 of Block III of the said survey district, by a road-line, by Section No. 2 of Block VII of the said survey district, and by a road-line; towards the south-east and south by that river, by Section No. 4, and Reserve No. 2 of Square No. 147, a road-line, and by the Buller River; and towards the north-west generally by Granity Creek, and by a line distant one mile from the Buller and Hope Rivers: excepting from the area above described all freehold lands, lands leased by the Crown, mining privileges, reserves, and roads: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56630A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged with red. For the preservation of scenery.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, being Reserve No. 2 (in red), in Blocks VI, VII, IX, X, and XI of the Hope Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 4,200 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by a road-line and Sections Nos. 3, 2, 4, and 1 of Block VII of the Hope Survey District; towards the south-east by a line distant one mile from the Hope River and continuing in a south-westerly direction to a point one mile distant from and opposite to the confluence of that river with the River Buller; again towards the south-east by a
