Declaring Roads in Flaxbourne Settlement, Awatere Road District, to be District Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of January, 1907.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be district roads.

SCHEDULE.
FLAXBOURNE SETTLEMENT ROADS.
That road in the Marlborough Land District known as the Main Road, commencing at a point near Sub-trig. X, and proceeding generally in a northerly direction to a point near Sub-trig. IX, thence to a point opposite Sub-trig. VII. between Sections 10 and 1. Block IX, Cape Campbell Survey District, a distance of 2 miles 48 chains or thereabouts.
Also that road locally known as the road to the landing at sea-beach, commencing at a point near the northern boundary of Small Grazing-run 117, and extending generally in a south-easterly direction along the boundary of Section 3, through Section 4, Block VIII, Cape Campbell Survey District. for a distance of 2 miles 17 chains, more or less, to the southernmost point of the said Section 4.
Also that road known as Ward Street, situated in the Township of Ward, commencing from a point south of Section 13, Block VI. Cape Campbell Survey District, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction for a distance of about 31 chains, more or less, to a point within the said township.
As the said roads are more particularly delineated on plan R. 5673 A, B, C, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured purple, green, and red, and lettered M.N., N.O., and A.B. respectively.

Declaring Road in Waioeka Parish, Opotiki County, to be a County Road.

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the roads in the Opotiki County described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be county roads.

SCHEDULE.
WAIOEKA RIVER TO WAIOTAHİ BLOCK ROAD.
All that portion of dray-road in the Auckland District, Waioeka Parish, Opotiki County, commencing at the south-western corner of Section 18, Parish of Waioeka, Block XI, Opotiki Survey District, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of Section 18 aforesaid to its junction with the county road at the south-western corner of Section 81, Parish of Waioeka, Block XI, Opotiki Survey District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 569, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of January, 1907.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council :
And whereas by section three of “The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1906,” it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose :
And whereas on the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and six, the Waimea West Road Board, the local authority having control of the road described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said road :
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby approve the said resolution.

SCHEDULE.
That road in the Waimea West Road District, in the Nelson Land District, passing through sections 52, 54, and 56, Block II, Waimea Survey District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8435, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of January, 1907.

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a petition in terms of sections forty-two and forty-three of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” has been presented to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, from not less than fifty subscribers to the Coromandel Hospital, praying that the said hospital may be incorporated as a separate institution under the said Act: And whereas the substance of the said petition was gazetted on the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six, and no counter-petition has been received by the Colonial Secretary, or objection lodged with him by the District Board, within one month from the date of such publication :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” doth hereby declare the contributors for the time being to the said hospital to be a body politic and corporate by the style and title of “The Coromandel Hospital.”
