Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby approve that the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be applied to the purposes of public utility aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land within the Borough of Foxton, containing an area of 1 rood 30 perches, be the same a little more or less, having a frontage to Main Street in the said Borough of Foxton of 150 links by a depth of 257 links; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8416, and coloured with a red border, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of January, 1907.

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
RAUMA ROAD.
THAT part of the road known as Rauma Road, in the Rangitikei County and in the Land District of Wellington, commencing at its junction with the Mangaweka–Taihape Road, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 14 chains or thereabouts to the northernmost corner of Section 93, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8586, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon shown in blue colour, and lettered A.B.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that part of the road known as Taihape Valley Road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.
SCHEDULE.
TAIHAPE VALLEY ROAD.
THAT part of the road known as the Taihape Valley Road, commencing at its junction with the Mangaweka–Taihape Road, and proceeding generally in a westerly direction fronting Sections 67 and 68, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, and terminating at the boundary between Sections 68 and 69 in the said Block XIV, being a distance of 61 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 854B, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon shown in red colour.

Exempting Smith Street, Kilbirnie, in the City of Wellington, from the Provisions of Section 117 of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of January, 1907.

THE HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by section three of “The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1906,” it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas on the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and six, the Council of the City of Wellington, the local authority having control of the street known as Smith Street, Kilbirnie, being the street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said street:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE.
THAT street known as Smith Street, Kilbirnie, in the City of Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, situated between Chares Street and Hamilton Road; as the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 8515, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured pink.
