- Upon the issue of a license to teach, and upon every renewal of a license, excepting such renewal as may be necessary in accordance with the terms of clause 42 above, a fee of ten shillings is payable to the Public Account in the manner specified in clause 16 of these regulations for the payment of examination entrance fees.
LIST OF CERTIFICATED TEACHERS.
- In the month of June in each year a list of teachers holding certificates and licenses shall be issued by the Minister of Education, and such list shall set forth in every case of promotion to a higher class or division the reason of such promotion; and after the publication of such list every teacher that has been so promoted shall be entitled, upon making due application to the Inspector-General of Schools, to have a record of his promotion endorsed upon his certificate. The name of any teacher that is not known to have been actively engaged in the work of education at any time during the previous five years shall be omitted from the list, unless he shall have made application since the publication of the previous list to have his name retained on the list or restored to it.
OLD CERTIFICATES.
- Subject to the provisions of clause 1, certificates, licenses, passes, partial passes, and exemptions from examination granted under any regulations hereby repealed shall remain in force under these regulations, except that provisional certificates granted to teachers that at the time of issue had still to pass in one or more of the subjects necessary to their examination shall rank as licenses to teach.
CANCELLATION OF CERTIFICATES.
- The Minister of Education shall have power to cancel any certificate or license to teach if the holder of such certificate or license shall at any time be proved guilty of immoral conduct or gross misbehaviour within the meaning of "The Education Act, 1904," or of any subsequent Act.
GENERAL.
- These regulations shall come into force on the 1st day of June, 1907, and on that day the regulations previously in force shall be deemed to be repealed.
