Districts constituted under “The Marriage Act, 1904.”

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1904,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known as the Lyell District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—
LYELL DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north-west generally by the eastern watershed of the Orikaka River from the confluence of the said Orikaka River with the Buller River to the Lyell Range; thence by the summit of the Lyell Range to the watershed between the Newton Stream and the Matiri River; thence towards the east generally by the summit of the range over Mount Newton to the Buller River; thence by a right line across the Buller River, and by the summit of the range between the Matakitaki and Maruia Rivers over Mount Mantell and Mount Cann to the summit of the main range near the source of the Maruia River; thence towards the south-east and south generally by the watershed between the Maruia and Waiau-uha Rivers and between the Maruia and Grey Rivers to Mount Haast; and thence towards the west generally by the watershed between the Maruia and Inangahua Rivers to a point due east of the confluence of the Buller and Inangahua Rivers; thence by a right line to the said confluence of the Buller and Inangahua Rivers; and thence by the Buller River to the Orikaka River, the place of commencement.
MURCHISON DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north-west and north generally by the summit of the Lyell Range and the watershed between the Wangapeka and the Buller Rivers to Mount Owen; thence towards the east generally by the watershed between the Owen and Dart Rivers and between the Owen and Hope Rivers over Mount Hope to the confluence of the Buller and Gowan Rivers; thence by the Gowan River to Lake Rotoroa; thence by the western shore of Lake Rotoroa and along the watershed between the D’Urville and Sabine Rivers to the Spencer Mountains; thence towards the south-east by the summit of the Spencer Mountains to a point near the source of the Maruia River; thence towards the south-west and west generally by the watershed between the Maruia and Matakitaki Rivers over Mount Cann and Mount Mantell to the Buller River; thence by a line across the Buller River; and thence by the watershed between the Newton Stream and Matiri River over Mount Newton to the summit of the Lyell Range, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the tenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Districts constituted under “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875.”

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Lyell District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Lyell and Murchison Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1904.”
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the tenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the owner of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Newcastle Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Alexandra Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road first hereinbefore proclaimed.
