Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired for a public work—that is to say, for a Ministerial residence: And whereas the said land is not now required for the purposes of the said Ministerial residence, and the Minister for Public Works has recommended that this Order in Council should be issued authorising such land to be sold:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby authorise the land described in the Schedule hereto to be dealt with and sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of the thirtieth and following sections of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land, containing 1 rood 13⁶⁄₁₀ perches, being Lot 4 on Plan No. 1265, deposited in the office of the Land Transfer Department, Wellington, and part of Sections Nos. 563 and 565, City of Wellington; also one undivided third share without right of partition in 17³⁄₁₀ perches, and being Lot 5 on the aforesaid deposited plan: as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 22373, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and green respectively.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twelfth day of November, 1906.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE WILLIAM HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by “The New Zealand International Exhibition Empowering Act, 1905,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following additional regulations for the due management of the affairs of the said Exhibition:—

The President and such of the Vice-Presidents as are responsible Ministers of the Crown shall be ex officio Executive Commissioners.

(1.) The offices of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Commissioners are hereby abolished.
(2.) All the functions and powers which under the existing regulations are exercisable by the Chairman of the Commissioners shall hereafter be exercisable by the President, or by any Minister of the Crown for the time being acting in his behalf, and all the functions and powers which under the existing regulations are exercisable by the Vice-Chairman of the Commissioners shall hereafter be exercisable by any of the aforesaid Vice-Presidents.

George Samuel Munro, who has resigned the office of Chairman of the Commissioners and also the office of Commissioner, shall be the General Manager of the Exhibition, with such functions, duties, and powers as the President prescribes.

The Accountant of the Commissioners shall hereafter be called the Director of Finance, and all cheques shall be signed by the President, or any of the aforesaid Vice-Presidents, or by any other Commissioner authorised in that behalf by the Colonial Secretary, and shall be countersigned by the Director of Finance, or, in his absence, by such other officer as the Colonial Secretary appoints or authorises in that behalf.

Clause 5 of the regulations of the 8th day of May, 1906, is hereby revoked.

The existing regulations are hereby modified in so far as they conflict with these regulations.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Auckland Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.
WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto from that named therein to that named in the second column thereof.
