Districts constituted under “The Marriage Act, 1904.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1904,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known as the Tauranga District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—

TAURANGA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east by the ocean from the Katikati Entrance of the Tauranga Harbour to the Tauranga Entrance; thence towards the east generally by a line along the middle of Tauranga Harbour to the mouth of the Waitao Stream; thence by the said Waitao Stream to the eastern boundary-line of Waitaha No. 2 Block; thence by the eastern boundary-line of the said Waitaha No. 2 Block to Waoku No. 2a Block; thence by the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned block to its north-eastern corner; thence by the south-eastern boundary-lines of Waoku No. 2a and Waoku No. 2 Blocks, and the south-eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned block produced to the northern boundary of Rotorua County; thence towards the south by Rotorua County to Piako County; thence towards the south-west by the said Piako County to a point bearing 247° from the source of the Kauritutaki River; thence towards the north-west by a right line to the source of the said Kauritutaki River; thence by a line along the middle of the last-mentioned river to its confluence with the Aoangatete River; thence by a line along the middle of the said Aoangatete River to its mouth; and thence by the Tauranga Harbour to the Katikati Entrance, the place of commencement.

TE PUKE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east by the ocean from the Tauranga Entrance of the Tauranga Harbour to the mouth of the Whakatane River; thence towards the east by the said Whakatane River to the confiscation boundary-line; thence towards the south by the confiscation boundary-line to the eastern boundary of Rotorua County; thence towards the west and again towards the south by Rotorua County to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Waoku No. 2 Block; thence again towards the west generally by a right line to the southernmost corner of the said Waoku No. 2 Block; thence by Waoku No. 2, Waoku No. 2a, and Waitaha No. 2 Blocks to the Waitao Stream; thence by the said Waitao Stream to the Tauranga Harbour; and thence by a line along the middle of the Tauranga Harbour to the Tauranga Entrance, the place of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fifteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Districts constituted under “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875.”

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Tauranga District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Tauranga and Te Puke Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1904.”

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fifteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Land in Paritutu Survey District taken for Scenic Purposes.

A P R O C L A M A T I O N.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” for scenic purposes:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for scenic purposes: And it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and six.


SCHEDULE.

THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

Approximate Area of the Parcel of Land taken. Being Situated in Block No. Situated in the Survey District of
A. R. P. 9 3 20 Reserve Y (Town Belt) V Paritutu.

In the Land District of Taranaki; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 22229, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
