  1. The Executive reserves to itself the sole right of compiling and printing a catalogue of exhibits.

  2. No person shall offer, or expose for sale, or offer to sell, or sell, or negotiate for the sale, or make any part of a contract for sale of any article, or shall carry on any trade or business, or portion of a trade or business, within the Exhibition unless authorised so to do in writing by the Executive.

  3. Any person offending against the last-named regulation may be ordered by the Executive at its discretion to remove his exhibit and goods from the Exhibition, and if he refuses or fails to do so, then immediately on his refusal or failure he may be ejected therefrom as a trespasser, and his goods may be removed from the Exhibition at his cost, and all his rights and privileges of exhibition and otherwise shall be absolutely forfeited, and he shall not be entitled to the return of any moneys paid therefor.

  4. Exhibitors may erect railings around their stands, subject to the approval of the Director of Exhibits. In every instance these railings must be within the area of the space allotted. In the case of machinery in motion, it is imperative that it be efficiently protected to the satisfaction of the Executive.

  5. No exhibitor or concessionnaire will be permitted to display exhibits, or to erect or maintain sideboards, similar devices, and things, in such a manner as to obstruct the light or impede the view along the open spaces, or to occasion injury or inconvenience to other exhibitors.

  6. The Executive reserves the right to remove at his cost the exhibits of any person who does not conform to these regulations.

  7. No canvas or calico linings shall be allowed in any part of the Exhibition buildings, either as screens, ceilings, or for any other purpose: Provided always that in special cases the Executive may grant permission; but in such cases the lining shall be previously saturated with tungstate of soda or such other non-inflammable preparations as the Executive may approve.

  8. No movable gas-brackets, or other portable appliance for lighting, shall be used in the Exhibition buildings.

 PUBLIC ORDER AND SAFETY.

  1. No person visiting or walking through the grounds shall walk elsewhere than on the paths.

  2. No person shall remove or damage any of the seats, lamps, trees, shrubs, grass, flowers, statuary, lakes, fountains, aquaria, fish, or birds, or any other material or property in the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds; and no person shall throw stones or other missiles, or smoke, or light fires therein, or leave therein any bottles, orange-peel, paper, cast-off clothing, or litter or refuse or any kind.

  3. No person shall enter the Exhibition or any part thereof otherwise than by the Public Gates or other proper entrance, or climb or jump over the seats or fences in and around the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds, or lie on the seats, or stick bills on the buildings, fences, or gates, or cut names, letters, or marks on the buildings, trees, seats, gates, posts, or fences, or otherwise deface the same, or write, print, stick or distribute or scatter bills therein.

  4. No person shall bring into the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds, any horse, dog, or other animal, or any vehicle except by special permission of the Executive.

  5. No child under seven years of age shall be allowed inside the Exhibition, unless in charge of an adult.

  6. (1.) No person shall, while in the Exhibition, do or aid and abet the doing of any of the following things:

(a.) Assault or beat any person;
(b.) Be drunk or incapable;
(c.) Behave in a riotous or disorderly manner;
(d.) Create or take part in any disturbance or breach of the peace;
(e.) Use any profane, indecent, obscene, threatening, or insulting language;
(f.) Commit any nuisance or act of indecency;
(g.) Destroy, deface, or injure any tree, shrub, plant, building, structure, article, or thing in the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds;
(h.) Pass or endeavour to pass any gate-keeper, money-taker, or ticket-collector without payment of admission fee, or without producing his pass or ticket, as the case may be, or by otherwise satisfying such gate-keeper, money-taker, or ticket-collector as to his right to obtain admission;
(i.) Pass or endeavour to pass into any side-show for which special admission fees are payable, unless by payment of the prescribed fee;
(j.) Obtain admission to or be upon or in any part of the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds, unless duly entitled under these regulations.

(k.) Interfere with or obstruct any Executive Commissioner or official, or servant appointed or employed by the Executive, in the execution of his duty.

(2.) Any person who offends against this regulation may be expelled from the Exhibition by the Executive or any officer or servant of the Executive, or by a constable, and shall also be liable as for a breach of these regulations.

  1. No persons, except artisans, labourers, or workmen employed in the gardens or grounds, shall enter any plots which may be enclosed within the Exhibition grounds, and then only such plot as they may be employed in.

  2. Any person who gains admission to the Exhibition, or any part thereof, otherwise than as herein provided, or, being lawfully in, does not observe these regulations, shall be liable to be forthwith removed from the Exhibition, and also be liable as for a breach of these regulations.

  3. Every Executive Commissioner and Exhibition officer upon presenting his pass or badge shall be deemed to be authorised by the Executive to enter and visit any part of the Exhibition, its buildings and grounds.

  4. All artificial light, except that supplied by the Exhibition contractors, is absolutely prohibited, except in cases where it may be permitted by the Executive, under such restrictions as it may in each case adopt.

  5. No exhibitor, concessionnaire, employee, or other person visiting or being in the Exhibition shall light or introduce any fire into any part of the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds, unless authorised in writing by the Executive.

  6. No shavings, straw, paper, packing, &c., or any inflammable material shall be allowed to remain in the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds.

  7. No person shall light, or assist in lighting, any match, paper, wood, straw, or any other combustible material in the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds, and any person who is found smoking or using any lighted paper, cigar, or cigarette, or open light in or near any of the Exhibition buildings, or any side-show or other buildings, may be ordered to leave the Exhibition, and in addition thereto shall be liable as for a breach of these regulations.

  8. No person shall sketch, photograph, or take any copy or reproduction by any method or process, or mode of representation whatever, of any person, photograph, picture, drawings, designs, models, or exhibit, or any other article or thing in the Exhibition, its buildings or grounds, or use any camera therein without the written authority of the Executive.

  9. No person shall sketch, photograph, or take any copy or reproduction, by any method or process or mode of representation whatever, of any painting, picture, or other work of art in the Exhibition Art Gallery, without the written consent of the Executive.

  10. No person shall take into the Exhibition Art Gallery, or shall have in his possession in the Art Gallery, any sketching, drawing, photographic, or printing materials or apparatus, or materials or apparatus connected or used with any mode of reproducing representations, without the written authority of the Executive. Any sketch, drawing, photograph, painting, or any sketching, drawing, painting, photographic or printing material or apparatus found in the Art Gallery or in the possession of any person therein may be seized by any Exhibition official or servant of the Executive, or by any constable, and shall be forfeited to the Executive, and may be destroyed, sold, or otherwise disposed of as the Executive may direct.

  11. No person shall take any parcel, stick, umbrella, or parasol or other similar articles whatever into the Exhibition Art Gallery.

  12. No person shall touch, handle, or disfigure, write on, or otherwise damage in any way any picture or work of art in the Exhibition Art Gallery.

  13. Every person entering or being in the Art Gallery shall conform strictly to and obey all orders or directions of any Exhibition official in charge thereof or being therein.

  14. Every exhibitor and every proprietor of side-shows and concessionnaire must take every precaution necessary to prevent fire, theft, or a breach of these regulations within his court or allotted space.

  15. Suitable places will be provided in certain parts of the Exhibition for the purpose of public convenience, and every person who uses any other place for such purpose shall be liable to be permanently excluded from the Exhibition, and, in addition, to be prosecuted for a breach of these regulations.

  16. It shall be a condition upon which each person shall be permitted to have access to the Exhibition that such person shall faithfully observe and conform to these regulations in all things, and any person committing a breach of these regulations may be ordered to leave the Exhibition grounds, and failing compliance with such order such person may be ejected therefrom and prosecuted as a trespasser.
