to be the Taupiri Mountain Domain Board, having the
control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto
for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said
Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the third day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and six, at half past
seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the office of the
Taupiri Sawmill Company, Taupiri, as the place where,
the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
TAUPIRI MOUNTAIN DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 162 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Sec-
tion No. 481, Parish of Taupiri. Bounded towards the north
by Section No. 463, 1654·3 links; towards the east generally
by Sections Nos. 454 and 453, 2943·6 and 2569·7 links, and a
public road along the Mangawara Stream, 311, 401·3, 643·3,
330, 325·8, 297·9, 311, and 427·2 links respectively; towards
the south generally; by Sections Nos. 457 and 456, 862·7, 1505,
606, and 2385 links respectively; and towards the west by
Section No. 445 and a public road, 4428·6, 141·7, 238,
221, 356·8, 239, 172·4, 187·7, and 282·5 links respectively:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same
is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 55331, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Domain.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth
day of October, 1906.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," and the
amendments thereof (including "The Domain Boards Act,
1904"), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke a
certain Order in Council, dated the eighth day of June,
one thousand nine hundred and four, delegating powers
to the Little River Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint
HUGH DUNCANSON BUCHANAN,
HENRY WHITE,
WILLIAM BIRDLING,
JAMES OPENSHAW COOP, and
JOHN FLETCHER BUCHANAN
to be the Little River Domain Board, having, subject to
the said Acts, control of the lands described in the Schedule
hereto, which lands are a public domain, and shall be called
the Little River Domain; and also doth hereby appoint
Saturday, the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and six, at seven o'clock p.m., as the time
when, and the Library, Little River, as the place where,
the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
LITTLE RIVER DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 62 acres 2 roods, more or less, being
Reserve No. 1649, Block XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by Reserve No. 935;
towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 19397 and 31132;
towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 31132 and 30378;
towards the north-west, again towards the south-west, and
again towards the south-east by Section No. 20137; again
towards the south-west by a public road; and again towards
the north-west by Sections Nos. 1, 35, and 9. Also,
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 6 perches, more or less,
being Reserve No. 3729 (formerly Lot No. 32 of the Morice
Settlement), situated in Block XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey
District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Valley
Road; towards the north-east by Bolton Street, Little River
Township; towards the south-east by the road and railway
reserve; and towards the south-west by Fleet Street of the
said township.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
26960A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands,
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations for Safe Navigation of Harbours, &c.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth
day of October, 1906.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section two hundred and
twelve of "The Harbours Act, 1878" (hereinafter
called "the said Act"), that the Governor in Council may
make regulations, to be called "General Harbour Regula-
tions," for, amongst other things, regulating matters relating
to the protection of life and property in or on vessels, and
the safe navigation of any harbour, navigable river, or navi-
gable lake:
And whereas it is desirable to make General Harbour
Regulations for the hereinbefore-recited purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by the hereinbefore-in-part-recited Act, doth hereby make
the following General Harbour Regulations:
GENERAL HARBOUR REGULATIONS.
-
No person shall place any tree, log, or other obstruction
in any harbour, or navigable river, or navigable lake, or on
the shore or bank of any harbour, navigable river, or navi-
gable lake, in such a position or manner as to cause, or be
liable to cause, loss of life or injury to any person, or damage
to any vessels, or to impede navigation. -
If any such obstruction exists at the time of the coming
into force of these regulations it shall be the duty of the
person who placed it where it is to remove it within fourteen
days after notice in writing so to do from the Harbour Board,
or if the locality where the obstruction was placed is not
within the jurisdiction of a Harbour Board, then from the
Secretary of the Marine Department. -
Any person who commits a breach of these regulations
shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding one hundred
pounds.

Conferring Jurisdiction on Native Land Court.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth
day of October, 1906.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of "The Native Land
Court Act, 1894," it is enacted that the Native Land
Court shall, as regards all lands within the meaning of
subsection ten of section fourteen aforesaid, have jurisdic-
tion as in the said subsection mentioned: Provided that
the Court shall not proceed to exercise such jurisdiction
unless the Governor in Council shall by Order authorise the
same to be done:
And whereas the several lands specified in the Schedule
hereto are lands in respect whereof the Court has jurisdic-
tion as aforesaid, and it is expedient that the Court should
be authorised to exercise the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
authorise the said Court to exercise in respect of the said
lands the jurisdiction conferred as aforesaid—that is to say,
to determine whether or not the said lands, or any parts
thereof, were, on the investigations of the titles thereto,
intended by the Native Land Court, or by the nominal
owner or owners of such lands, to be held by such nominal
owner or owners in trust for Natives not named in the titles;
and to determine who are the several Natives (if any)
entitled beneficially to such lands, and to order the inclusion
of such Natives in the titles, either together with or in lieu
of the nominal owners or any of them, and for the purpose
aforesaid to order the cancellation or amendment of any
existing instruments of title, and the issue of such new
Crown grants or other instruments of title as may be neces-
sary, and generally to exercise in respect of the said lands
all the jurisdiction and powers conferred on the Native
Land Court by subsection ten of section fourteen of "The
Native Land Court Act, 1894."
