A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the remaining portion of the Greymouth–Hokitika–Ross Railway:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purpose hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the remaining portion of the line of railway hereinbefore specified.

All in the Land District of Westland; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 21635, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured as above.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Waitaki–Bluff Railway—namely, Duplicate Railway-line between Dunedin and Mosgiel.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the duplicate railway-line of a portion of the Waitaki–Bluff Railway—namely, from Dunedin to Mosgiel (hereinafter termed “the said railway”)—is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1900”: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the same:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
Commencing at a point in railway land in the City of Dunedin, the said point being marked 235 miles 58 chains 34 links on the railway mileage from Lyttelton, on the Waitaki–Bluff Railway; proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 10 miles 1 chain 66 links, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., railway land in the City and Borough of Dunedin, Sections 12, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, 32, 35, 36, 39, 40, 43, and 44, Block VI, Town District; Section 1, Block XV, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; Sections 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43, and railway land, Lower Kaikorai Survey District; railway land and Sections 58, 9, 75, 13, and 14, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; Section 30 and railway land in irregular block; railway land and Sections 5 and 6, in Block I, Taieri Survey District; railway land in Block II, Taieri Survey District—and terminating in railway land in Block III, Taieri Survey District, the said point being marked 245 miles 60 chains on the railway mileage from Lyttelton: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, streets, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 22310, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
