official number AB 2 as the abattoir within the meaning of
“ The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900,” for the
Borough of Invercargill, that is to say :—

For slaughtering—
Large cattle other than calves .. 3 6
Calves .. 1 6
Sheep and lambs .. 0 4½
Pigs—100 lb. or under, live weight .. 1 0
Pigs over 100 lb., live weight .. 1 6

In addition to the foregoing charges or fees, the said Council
may take as toll in connection with the use of the abattoir
all blood, runners, and other portions of animals slaughtered
at the abattoir that are not required by butchers for sale in
the course of an ordinary retail trade.

The foregoing charges or fees shall be paid to the Town
Clerk or other officer appointed by the Council, or, in cases
where the slaughtering is done by a contractor, then to such
contractor. All fees, whether payable to the Town Clerk or
such other officer of the Council, or to a contractor, must
be paid before the removal of the carcase in respect of which
the same shall be due, and in default thereof the same may
be recovered as a debt due to the Mayor, Councillors, and
Burgesses of the Borough of Invercargill, or to the con-
tractor, as the case may be, without any previous demand
having been made therefor : Provided always that the
manager of the abattoir, or the contractor, as the case may
be, may allow monthly accounts to regular customers ap-
proved by the Borough Council or the contractor, as the
case may be, in which case all such charges or fees shall be
payable on or before the fourth day of each month to the
Town Clerk or such other officer aforesaid, at the chambers
of the Borough Council, or to the contractor, as the case
may be.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of “ The Motor Registration Act, 1905.”

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipawa
County Council, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers contained in section 4 of “ The Motor Registration
Act, 1905,” has decided, by resolution, that “ The Motor
Registration Act, 1905,” shall be brought into force in the
County of Waipawa on and after the 5th day of October,
1906.

TAKE notice that the name of the above-mentioned
company will, at the expiration of three months from
the date hereof, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be
struck off the Register, and the company will be dissolved.

Orepuki was dissolved as from the 30th day of September,

Zealand Gazette, containing all Bankruptcy Notices

be sent post-free to any address on payment of a sub-
scription of 10s. per annum. Single copies, 3d. each.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of
30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period
than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for
the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day pre-
ceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-orders
should be made payable. Cheques should be crossed
“ Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders
are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be re-
turned with receipted account.
