NOTE.—Weather on the whole very pleasant, especially in the latter part of the month. The barometer was unusually high, and the maximum on the 8th has only been once exceeded. The mean dew point was 42°, and mean humidity 76 per cent. of saturation. The mean daily range of temperature was 10° F. The 10th and 11th were remarkably calm. Bright sunshine was recorded for 136 hours 56 min. which gives a daily average of 4 hours 19 min.
